If you can afford to go to a regular dentist, please do so. The staff at this place are usually rude and demeaning, beginning from the receptionists and customer service people and all the way to the professors - who sometimes even embarass or yell at the students in front of their patients. The students are generally nice, but dental care is sometimes compromised by inexperience (of course) or time-pressure. You are not really saving money by going here. Sometimes, the result is worse and will cost you more to fix elsewhere. This institution also did not return the money I deposited/put in for future care. U of T dentistry is a big fat fail. I warned you. You get what you pay for. But here, you get way less than what you paid for. Maintain your dignity, save your money, and find a reputable dentist elsewhere. If I could give them 0 stars out of 5, I would.

Do not go to this clinic if you value your privacy. They have no regard for patient privacy, and will use and share your personal and medical information, even identifiable photos, for whatever educational and research purposes they want without protecting your identity. It is their entitlement as a teaching facility that is a problem. The students and most employees are nice, but you will have no control or say as to who sees or uses your personal and medical information, nor will you know who has viewed your information.

Better to save your money and go to a real dentist who has the training and the experience. I've had several of the "professors" not wearing masks, touching chairs and then putting their hands in your mouth. Not being able to diagnose gum problems until I found it on Google and then suddenly they were able to diagnose. But the best was the cheap crown I had done, the student put on 13 temporary crowns over a two and a half week period, some crumbled before I even left the chair, finally she got one to stay on partially, but I couldn't get an appointment for two weeks, in the meantime I had to find another dentist to fill it in where it was breaking apart. When I got this gold crown, they sent it downstairs to have it "polished" the thing came back almost as flat as a frisbee. I had to go to another real dentist and have it reshaped, she also ground down the tooth above the crown and took too much off ruining my bite. I will have this thing removed at some point and pay the full $1,000 for a real crown. All they are doing is pushing these students through so they graduate, the professors themselves are not any better at diagnostics. To have your teeth cleaned can take months, because they just do a small area each time and it takes hours to finish. Don't waste your time or your money. And the front desk reception people are so bloody rude, you can't believe they have jobs.

Due to problems when i was younger and them not getting paid for to be fixed, i have had to start coming here myself to get a lot of work done. And i must say it is a great place, work is quite affordable, the students and staff are very friendly. Wait times can be long yes, most of it is the student waiting for their instructor to check work, but for the cost i am fine with this.

.. The clinics are well if you go for cleaning. Otherwise it is waste of time ,energy, money . Because of repeated visits and exams. I am patient of faculty for 4 years. I have no good experience for making crown. This year I accepted the recommendation of the student for crowning of one my tooth which has been root canal before. I made mistake to accept. One single crown took 6 sessions. Only three session for impression. Each time the student and instructor who was only talkative done impression ,they sent to lab and returned.. I was engaged in 4 weeks for only impression. I complained to Dean of Faculty and Director of Clinic. Still nothing. !!I should say priority here is teaching to new dentistry students then treatment. The director of clinic in reply to my email for complain for treatment procedure and repeated mistakes told me that """"the Faculty of Dentistry is an educational institution and sometimes students are challenged by procedures they are relatively new to performing on live patients""" This director called the patients as LIVE patients. It seems the students have been working on dead bodies and now they are excited on working with Live patients.!! It seems the patients are subjects for testing on them and making mistake on them !!

Here is school so education is more important the treatment. So you are here like as mouse in laboratory. And in most of the cases they want to teach how to do with patients and so it is possible to do something wrong. I should say priority here is teaching to new dentistry students then treatment

For the two years I had to endure pain under the people your university had trained and certified to perform as perfessional oral surgery dental Doctors. Know they're a mock . By performing oral surgery without any local anisyigol or nitric. To helpwith numbing of the mouth . After what could ? have been a simple thing they have made into huge now by month even ordering the dentures I need . Know it's left me chewing on one side and those are becoming rotten because of not chewing evenly
