★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We came at around 12:30am. They weren't serving food but we were just looking for a few drinks. They sat 7 of us quickly. The server/bartender was around as needed, easy to talk to, and made sure we were all taken care of - including wrangling a phone changer for one of my friends.
Decent drinks, good selection, and some good music.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great food and good service, can be a bit slow sometimes but understandably so. On another note, went for a job interview and the manager who interviewed me was a misogynist. Upon meeting me, he said I didn’t look like someone he’d higher for a cleaning position, said “girls are too dainty to clean up puke” and asked to see my hands assuming I had “delicate” hands. He continued to waste my time for the next 30 minutes just talking about himself, finishing off with “you’d be better off being a hostess, but I’m not hiring you for a cleaning job”. Again, great food (I recommend the brownie) and the servers are amazing but I don’t recommend working there and truly feel sorry for the employees who have to deal with him.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best pub in town. It's not so much that the food and beer is so much different than any other pub;it's the vibe that sets The Toucan apart.You can feel comfortable here alone. You can feel safe here as a woman. You can wear whatever you like. The Toucan is a welcoming, all inclusive hole in the wall with the best bartender in town. The icing on the cake is that they have great live music at least twice a week with no cover charge. All ages, all genders, all colours and all peaceful types are welcome here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ my boyfriend and I were spending my birthday together there and it was so lovely. Food came fast, drinks were delicious, waitresses were especially lovely. They complimented my outfit and eye makeup, and when we got seated they dimmed the lights of our section for more of a romantic vibe. We went there for our first date two years ago, and have kept coming back since regularly. Highly recommend

Nice patio, good food and attention from our server.
We got a table on the back patio, really nice ambiance in the courtyard.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very good atmosphere! We came here for a fun place to have a couple drinks and wind down. The drinks were good and the place is a lot of fun. A fun pub style place. A little loud and boisterous and perfect for a good time! We ended up getting a poutine to share to help mellow out all the drinks and it was huge! Perfectly salted fries, great gravy and real cheese curds. No idea how we would ever eat this solo. This place is a great place to have fun!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a wonderful experience. Shane really took care of us and made sure we had everything we needed. The French onion soup was the best I've ever had. The steak and mushroom pie was way too salty, but the mashed potatoes and peas made up for it! Will be back for sure!
