******CAUTION****** If I could choose '0' stars, that's what I would have chosen. This is an unfortunate review. I had the pleasure of meeting Shawn Shewchuk at a real estate meeting in Indiana. He was pleasant upon meeting and I was impressed by his success as he so described. He offered a couple seats at his upcoming bootcamp in Calgary for myself and my partner at the time. He described his event as a "Business Bootcamp" and that he was the "#1 Business Results Coach in the Country". I was so extremely excited to work with a professional like him to help accelerate my real estate goals into reality more quickly. He seemed really professional and knowledgable, so I had no trouble signing on for services. My partner and I signed on for services last May of 2015. We purchased a $40,000+ package that would give us personal coaching sessions to assist with goal attainment and he was going to come to Chicago for two separate on site visits to further assist with our goals. About mid way through July/August 2015, I had spent roughly around $6000 (and another $6000 by my partner), it was clear that Shawn was not assisting with my achievement of real estate goals, nor was he helping my partner. I made several complaints via email, to which I received little assistance. He claimed that he was going to help with me finding my path within real estate, but after paying him a considerable amount money, he really didn't assist with much, except a few phone calls. I am glad to pay for the phone calls that we had, but $12,000 for roughly 6 phone calls does not seem to be a good service provided. Since that time, I have continued to contact this business and Shawn, to which he and his business have not returned my calls or attempted to communicate about resolving this issue. I understand he has helped many people, and that he is a good person, it is unfortunate that he failed to serve in my case. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau and will be making a formal complaint as I have been requesting resolve for roughly seven months now. I am so completely disappointed in this person and this business. Be wary of what you sign when you receive the contract. Ensure that you receive the Terms and Conditions of the contract. I requested this aspect of the contract several times, though he and the business did not send me a copy of this. The contract does not delineate any of the services that the 'coach' or business will provide. This seems to be the most dishonorable service and person I have come into contact with within this aspect of business relations. This is the first time anything like this has happened to me and I do believe that justice will prevail. Shawn, I am so incredibly disappointed in the way you and your business have conducted business with myself and my partner. $12,000 for a minimum amount of work is absurd, and I cannot fathom how a person of your caliber is treating consumers in this manner. I do hope we can find a solution that will be amicable for all involved. Until then, I will continue my path to recovering the funds you have stolen from me.

Buyer Beware!!!!!! If I could give zero stars, I would. This company (and its subsidiaries) use high-pressure sales tactics to lure the consumer to pay multiple thousands of dollars as part of a contractual agreement. Even after legally canceling a contract that is non-compliant with the Fair Trade Act of Alberta, they will hire a law firm and collection agency in an attempt to fulfill the amount owed on the contract. Know your legal rights as a consumer BEFORE signing anything with this company. BBB complaint filed under S. Shewchuk and Associates LTD/Shawn Shewchuk International. As others have mentioned, this company is a scam conducting itself in fraudulent business practices.

I had once posted a five star review here, but my experience changed, and so the review will change to reflect that. Anyone may flip through my reviews - they are mostly positive, but my experience here has been the opposite of that. It has been a complete debacle. Lots of promises, low on delivery. I was literally handed their sales sheet, and told to go do what they do to make money, to pay their bills. I was charged a substantial fee, received no services, was threatened legally, and was not provided a requested refund. In the world within which I live, this is fraud. In their world, it's normal. I gave Shawn and his staff multiple months to process a refund for services not rendered. They have opted not to take the high road, and I felt it not only justifiable to let others know what goes on here, but absolutely necessary. You would be well advised to steer clear of this organization.
