We come here every time we happen to be travelling to Calgary, and this is now the second time I have had their Canmore Coal ice cream, which I love! It has a great licorice flavour which I have not found elsewhere yet. We live in Manitoba, so a place like this definitely has to be significant to be included in our road trip of the many things we do when travelling out here (aside from hiking and other activities). Yes, it's about $5/scoop, but it is sooo good!

Careful with the flavours, they don’t do testers so I asked about the birthday cake. Both ladies there highly recommended it, but it was awful, and I NEVER throw out ice cream. I live for ice cream. Had to purchase another cone at full price to get something I liked, ended up going with vanilla because I was scared their other flavours would not be any good either.

Good price for a good tasting ice cream in town of Canmore. I ordered the chocolate Love and I fell in love with it.

Really enjoyed the ice cream here. There is a wide selection of flavors available, all of which seem interesting and unique. The scoop size is generous and the price is fair.

The only real issue I had is the line seems backwards. You can't get a good look AT the icecream if it is crowded. Although the menu describes the flavors, this does seem weird. They do have a lot of flavors (most of which are good and you can see them on the pictures of the menu) and their scoops are about the size of a tennis ball or slightly bigger. They have all sorts of deluxe dipped waffle cones which add some nice variety. I would ideally give them a 4.5 star but 4 star is where I'm leaving it due to the line issues.

Expensive for what it is. They have a lot of options of different flavors. The staff is very friendly but I don’t necessarily recommend this place if you want to enjoy an iced treat. You can do exactly the same home.

One of two ice cream places in canmore it seems, with the other one being seasonal (hence closed majority of the time). Expect line ups but usually moves pretty quick. Flavours are limited but still rather good options. Kids tend to go for bubble gum the most. The ice cream is fairly soft and they give it in large scoops. Theres also a variety of cones (with costs associated with it). Double scoops go for $7, single $4.85, kids $3. The floats use grizzly paw soda.

Was there today and the staff weren’t wearing masks to serve the food, they WERE NOT WEARING GLOVES to handle the cones or ice cream and the man that jumped on to help move the line HAD DIRTY HANDs AND FINGER NAILS! It was DISGUSTING ! They looked like he was working on a car then came in to scoop ice cream. I am appalled and shocked to find that. I understand it was busy but if you’re going to have dirty hands wear gloves. We usually go and there’s no issues but now I’m Definitely not going to go back ever. Also it was more like ICED MILK not ice cream, definitely not worth the price for a thin waffle cone that broke as he scooped it and thin ice cream that really was not good. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE!
