I love going to the Salvation Army to look for hidden gems among all the clothes. Although the Sally Ann stores are smaller than Value Village I find they are usually less picked over. I have found gorgeous 100% silk blouses, wool pea coats, cozy long cardigans, all in perfect condition and for less than $20. Their jewelry selection is poor, although they do auction off some valuable pieces. The staff aren't usually very chatty/present which is not a problem for me as I like to do my shopping solo.

I hadn't been at the location since before covid. Super happy with the new layout, love how they have the knickknacks and yarn laid out now. Great social distancing, staff were friendly and happy.

A great chain of thrift stores with a great selection, from toys, games, clothes, and housewares. There's been a definite increase in their ability to recognize the value of rare and collectible items, which are now available through 'auctions'. This is good, as it gives more visibility to these items, and more chance to get something interesting, but unfortunate for those searching for diamonds in the rough, though great deals can still be found. Donations are rewarded with a coupon for $10 off purchases of $25 or more, so plan your donations and purchases appropriately.

Very rude staff. Out of touch old spinsters. They claim to reserve the right to change the price at any time and see no problem in quadrupling the price of any given item upon purchase.

Very rude staff at the Quadra location. They are now policing what type of face coverings are acceptable. I wear a buff style face mask which thoroughly covers my nose, mouth and chin. I have never had a problem in any store for months. Yet the staff member told me I have to wear a "mask" as she pointed to her disposable mask. What difference does it make weather its disposable or has ear loops? Totally ridiculous.

I went to this location with the hope of exchanging many pair of pants purchased at a different thrift store location and ended up finding many pants that actually fit and some other great items. The manager Marley was very helpful in doing the pants exchange. This is my favourite location now in Victoria.

Always an adventure. Unique items and practical things at minimum price.

New stock every week or so, decent prices. Only problem is that some of the stock shouldn't be stocked (rusty pots, for instance). However, the good things they have are cheap. It's just a matter of sifting through the junk.
