★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I’ve been going to this church for the past 13/14 years. It keeps growing, feels like a family and has open arms most times. I’ve also volunteered at the food bank quite a few times in 2008/2009 from then onward to about 2012. There’s still many things the food banks needs improvement on; ie, communication, date checks, organization, and friendliness. However over all there’s many great programs that the church and The Slavation Army itself runs; like Jackson’s Point Camp, Jumping Jellybeans, Singing Choir, Tiny Timberls, Cake Auctions, Pot Lucks, Breakfast with Santa etc. As being a part of the community it would be nice to involve the community in more events maybe have a game of basketball in the gym? Invite some local teenagers put ads out, maybe even hold a yard sale in the gym; you could sell tables/spots for $20.00 each and whatever the people sell they can keep .. , the salvation Etobicoke Location has always been non judgmental, however there are a few that could add a little more friendliness to their “hello’s”.
The lady that helps run the food bank Rosemarie, is absolutely a kind soul and has helped myself and my family in the past. Just note; the food bank can get pretty busy at times and it can be a stressful environment; the way people act is different in a stressful environment vs a calm environment, friendliness is always key.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Local Salvation Army temple I have been going for years. They ate a great community church. They also run a food bank, toy drives and all sorts of fundraisers and community meals. If you are in need this is the place to go.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was at the toy drives I hv a 15 months old so today I was a bit disappointed I saw a basketball ? net I really wanted for my baby but I can’t afford to buy it Thts what I wanted to give my son for his xmas it was in the office direction I went an fet my toys but there were nothing I really like or wanted any I did get few thing so I ask if I can give back all Tht I pick up an in return I get the basket ball net I was so desire for my back but rose said no a mean they toys are for donations why would u refused me the toy unless they keeping it for they then self i was willing to give up all tht I got for this one basketball net cause it means a lot to me I wanted to start my son off as a baller ?????
