β β β β β Such a nice ambiance on the patio that I would come here even if the cocktails werenβt fantastic. Love the range and description of the cocktails and when unsure, the bartender made an excellent recommendation. Plus, so many have glitter on/in them! Amazing!
Small plates were excellent, I liked the steamed buns the best. Lots of options for meat eaters and vegans alike. But I wouldnβt come here just for the food - itβs a cocktail place. However I will say itβs nice to have delicious and interesting food while drinking a lovely cocktail.
I also love that this place emphasizes inclusivity very strongly and doesnβt apologize for it.

β β β β β One of the best vegan friendly restaurants in Winnipeg. The food is creative, delicious and very visually appealing. I don't know another place in Winnipeg that creates cocktails like The Roost. Had a great dinner here with my wife and the quaint atmosphere and attention to detail was awesome.

β β β β β Get a reservation if you can, but if you're lucky like us, you can get a spot right at the bar to watch the masterful work their bartrnder/mixologist/drink wizard. The line I overheard was "Cocktails is what they do [at the Roost]", and that is very true from our experience.
Food we had was all amazing (Stuffed Olives, Mushroom Handpie, Fried Chicken Steam Bun, Roost Burger, and Sticky Toffee Pudding) and the atmosphere relaxed and fun.
Everyone there clearly wants to be there, and you get that vibe as soon as you walk in.
Go here. Eat, drink, and enjoy the experience.

β β β β β Excellent ambiance!
Delicious drink and food! The steamed buns are delicious and i would recommend any of their cocktails! Pictured is the βtravel bugβ which was vegan, which i appreciated.
They clearly display vegan options and vegan dishes and you can also opt to add non-vegan options to your food as well if you wish.
The servers were all very polite and easygoing and a pleasure to be around!

β β β β β A very small restaurant serving small delicious plates/tapas with a great selection of specialty cocktails. The outdoor patio would be awesome on a warm evening. Only down fall of this location is is is not handicap accessible.

β β β β β This is one of our favourite spots in Winnipeg for either an afternoon or evening cocktail. In covid times, we did take-out dinner for 2. The steamed buns (chicken and Tofu) were delicious, well seasoned, and expertly balanced in flavor. We had Cauliflower and lentils, as well as braised beef short rib -- both were fantastic! Would highly recommend!
