The Rind & Truckle

What a great shop! I’m not from the area but was heading to Orillia and ordered a charcuterie box. I sent an email, Amy asked a few questions to see what cheeses we liked. Everything in the box was delicious and their was a variety of cheeses, fruit, crackers, meat and olives. Great customer service!

My first experience with the Rind & Truckle was nothing short of amazing! An instant favourite that is sure to become a staple for our family. The brief version is I can't say enough good things about The Rind & Truckle and their staff. On short notice, they put together a spectacular charcuterie board that was a huge hit for a 50th birthday surprise for my wife. The team's knowledge, thoughtfulness, attention to detail and desire to go above and beyond were all spectacular. The long version follows. Knowledge...Amy and Dan walked me through the cheese options and made recommendations based on the palettes of my guests, all of which were great. The crowd favourite was Gouda with Mustard Seed. Thoughtfulness...Amy suggested the arrangement would be more meaningful if some of my wife's favourite pottery pieces were incorporated. I took some down the next day and they were used so tastefully for accoutrements of nuts, olives and pepper jelly. Above and beyond...I purchased one of the amazing boards they carry from local artisans, mentioning that I might make arrangements after the event to have a subtle "50" branded onto it somewhere. As Amy and I finalized the cheese selections, Dan was already looking into ways that the branding could be done before they loaded it with food. It was, and they made all the arrangements (and trips!) with the maker of the board to have the adornment added. Attention to detail...when I specified placement of the brand, Donna suggested that it be oriented differently so it would look better if the board was going to be hung as an art piece. She was right, and it is now featured now in our kitchen! Their final touch was leaving the "50 corner" visible on the completed board, which was immediately noticed and appreciated when the gift was presented. I hope the Rind & Truckle will be well supported by our community, to which it has added so wonderfully.

I reached out to Amy at the Rind & Truckle to create a custom charcuterie board as an engagement gift. She was SO helpful with selecting the perfect board, accommodating a gluten allergy, and sharing a picture of the final result - which was beautiful! She went above and beyond throughout the process, making recommendations and being attentive to what I wanted included. Highly recommend!

Just discovered we have a new gourmet cheese shop downtown! What an incredible variety of cheese and fancy jarred goodies. I picked up an imported Welsh whiskey cheddar and a gouda with chili. Yummy! Friendly helpful staff as well.

Never disappointed with the offerings here. We order their charcuterie board regularly and everything is always so fresh and tasty. The customer service is a major reason why we frequent this place as the owners really are warm, welcoming and helpful. They always have great suggestions for cheeses to try based on what we like. Highly recommend coming here!

I ordered a charcuterie board for my housewarming. The staff were so lovely! They sampled cheeses with me and helped me customize a perfect board. The presentation was gorgeous and reasonably priced. They were very accommodating of my friends allergies and followed up with their suppliers to ensure there was no cross contamination. 10/10 recommend!

Amazing cheese shop downtown Orillia! So lucky to have these business owners open up shop here. The atmosphere is warm and inviting and the customer service is amazing. The owners are so helpful at finding your perfect cheeses. Tons of Ontario and Quebec varieties available and we loved everything we purchased! If there’s a line they are currently limited to 2 people in store, but it’s worth the wait!
