Our family was referred to this clinic because of our sons behavior issues, we felt like it was a waste of time. After 2 meetings we are being referred to other institutions that our child's pediatrician had already recommended so no progress really and no feeling of making progress with my sons behavior problems, and they did not disclose that they would be contacting child protective services (because I spanked him) until we had pried the info out of them, so the level of trust I have with this group is zero. We as parents felt shamed and judged by the staff here and they offered no actual solutions to our issues. My advice is to ask your pediatrician for a clinic that may offer more assistance to your family as a whole.

As a minority and as a person with pronounced anxiety challenges I am glad that I chose The Possibilities Clinic to pursue my Adult ADHD testing . I was nervous about entrusting such a vulnerable process to a group of complete strangers, let alone potentially being talked down to by arrogant professionals, knowing that their own dispositions would potentially have a positive or negative impact on how openly I'd be able to engage. This Clinic exceeded my hopes by far in quality of service, timeliness and professionalism. I'm truly grateful to Dr. Almagor and Dr. Gold for their receptiveness, insight and composure. A large part of the process required focused self-reflection and they were perfect at holding space while also stepping in to help navigate when necessary. Very special thanks to Marilia who was so kind and patient with me during the extensive Psychometric evaluations. I've had appointments with so -called "professionals" that would become snappy after 5 minutes, compare that to 4 hours without the slightest sense of annoyance or hastiness. The follow-up appointments to discuss the summary report and potential course of action left the process feeling complete and satisfactory. If you are an Adult looking to get tested for ADHD, I wholeheartedly recommend this Clinic.

When we found out the school board has a six month waiting list for psychoeducational testing, we looked around and found the Possibilities Clinic. We were also able to get our daughter a Learning Disabilities assessment quickly and her dyslexia was finally caught. Possibilities did a great job and made recommendations to the school. She started treatment right away and didn’t fall further behind in her reading. Everyone there is so nice. My daughter wasn’t intimidated at all. It’s a friendly place where the staff is professional and efficient. I recommend Possibilities Clinic.

They love to set you up for failure. This place is the ADHD equivalent of having a physical rehab centre on the top floor of a 4 story walk up with no ramp and no elevator.

I've not had the pleasure to meet any of the doctors or therapists who work here and I'm sure they're excellent at what they do. In late 2019 I was diagnosed with ADHD by a clinical psychologist, after a couple hours of in-person interviews, doing tests on a computer, forms filled out and by my close relatives. My physician told me that getting a creative hobby will treat ADHD. One later appointment with him by phone, it sounded like he was driving his car at the time, so I realized I was on my own with this. I've already been to a psychotherapist, who said I was using appropriate coping strategies. Eight months ago, I contacted The Possibilities Clinic to check if they were accepting new patients, and my physician agreed to make the referral. I spent about 90 mins filling out online forms from The Possibilities Clinic, then later I located all my old report cards and found a day when I could actually focus enough and scan all of them and upload the scans to the Clinic. This took about 6 hours. I waited.... and waited.... nothing from the Clinic. I emailed them, asking if they had received the report cards and the diagnosis of ADHD by a psychologist, and eventually got a reply saying they'd received report cards for gr 1-6. I'd sent JK-university. Again I waited and waited, and nothing for a month. I emailed the clinic asking what's going on and how long the wait list was. Eventually I got a reply saying they were unable to continue with my file due too a missing consent form. They didn't tell me which consent form, nor offer to send it to me to fill out. I replied 14 days ago asking which consent form, and if they could be more specific. As of today, 2021 Dec 9th,... nothing from them. (edit: blood test last week showed everything normal) Dear Possiblities Clinic: Is your goal to be in the business of advertising mental health treatment, then stringing people along, giving false hope? Do you feel this is conducive to promoting mental health? It would be helpful, and honest, if you were to post a notice on your website "We are sorry, but due to overwhelming demand we cannot take on new patients" or something to that effect. thanks

Lengthy process to get an appointment, but were glad to find somewhere. We were told it would be a wait of approx. six months and I explained that if it were that long we would not be in the province any longer as we were planning on moving, and was told that then fees would be charged for the appointment(s) if we are no longer covered by OHIP. I went ahead with waiting what ended up being 7-8 months only to be told that I cannot pay, the appointment is only for those with OHIP only. It was a waste of time we could have been waiting for a spot with someone who would have helped my child. Now we are back to the beginning.

This place is completely unresponsive and unprofessional! We began the process with the Possibilities Clinic in August 2021 and were told they were booking in late fall. We chose this clinic as we had heard good things, but also because they had availability. We completed all the intake forms and then received an email saying they were booking early 2022. I tried to get in touch to finalize dates and when I managed to get in touch with someone, they said they would send them. Nothing. A month later, I followed up again - calling several times and emailing several times as no one ever picked up at reception. I finally got an emails from them with dates - 5 months out. I understand that everyone is busy and things can happen to delay, but the complete lack of communication and professionalism means my daughter will go the entire year without being able to put an IEP in place and mean she has not had the access to the proper schooling for the entire year. I have been trying to get a hold of them to transfer our files as we have found other clinics that have been MUCH more professional and responsive, but after several more calls and emails - I have still not been able to get a response. Go anywhere else BUT this place.

If you would have asked me to do a review of this clinic a few months ago I would have given 5 stars. But after a long wait (I would have said worth it) and then seeing doctors and professionals here for months for my assessment and tweaking my treatment plan (all of whom were AMAZING for the record), I missed an appointment. ((It was a calamity of errors - I had booked the appointment last summer. The first confirmation email was a day I was flying internationally and didn’t have wifi. The link email was the day I was flying back. I didn’t see either email. My next correspondence was a missed appointment charge which I incorrectly assumed was an appointment reminder I could “check later” in my head as I took care of my child with Covid.)) I learned of my mistake the next day when a receptionist called to tell me (very rudely) I was overdue for paying a missed appointment fee and I would not be seen again until it was paid. I was completely taken aback and said fine and hung up. I was discharged from the clinic the next day, but didn’t know it. My only other correspondence with the Clinic was to renew my health card number. I also paid the late fee invoice. I recently called my GP about a number of issues and gave him a heads up that my file would be coming back soon for his ongoing management and he said he wanted to see the report and recommendations because his knowledge of adult adhd and medications was limited. No problem. I called the clinic 2 times and left messages, got a call back the second time. After giving my updated billing info, and explaining the conversation with my GP, I was told very firmly that “he agreed to managing your ongoing treatment in your referral. We don’t do that here.” I explained that wasn’t the issue - he just wanted the report and they said they would resend since it had been sent. I asked when it had been sent as I had just confirmed with him 2 days prior, and they had sent early Feb so the receptionist agreed to ask her coworker to resend. I also asked to reschedule the missed appointment. I had a number of questions from me and my doctor and was looking forward to my next appointment to ask them, plus I’m nearly out of my prescription. “You don’t have another. I can’t book you one. You were discharged.” I didn’t know I was discharged and received no communication that I was discharged. She was obviously irritated by my questions at this point because after explaining that the doctor would not accept an appointment with me after being discharged, but that she could ask him if he’d consider one - I tried to ask if she wouldn’t mind and what that process looks like and what my options were. She kept repeating that she couldn’t book an appointment (I got it the first three times. That’s why I changed my ask for her to just ask him, not to actually schedule me in) until she finally agreed to try to ask him. A very long winded explanation to say, after nearly $4K out of pocket, and an appointment that was apparently important enough to be booked in the first place but was not important enough to rebook when missed; I am very disappointed and feel as if once the money is done, you don’t matter at all. Considering the wait time is the same as a psychiatric assessment covered by OHIP, and the treatment I’ve felt this month, I will definitely NOT recommend the Possibilities clinic anymore and would recommend a referral to a province-paid psychiatrist. The assessment team, doctors, therapists were amazing. When I first applied, I felt the receptionist team were warm and the process ND friendly - I appreciated that. But the closure of this process has been anything but and it’s too bad because they had great therapists my husband and I were saving to see and now we have to start over again.
