Came into my home and gave me an estimate of just under $500.00 to replace a toilet float valve. I declined and paid him $73.45 for his dispatch fee. Had someone come in and clean the rubber float valve gasket which cost me nothing and corrected the problem. Also, did not appreciate the phone call after the Plumbing Repair Guy had left my home and then called to say his boss approved doing the job for $200.00 less than originally quoted.

We had a tech named Byron (he works under Service King) come to our house as we found our basement flooded within 2 hours of a toilet flush (in one bathroom we later found out). He could not immediately see the issue so a Home visit fee, diagnosis fee, and repair fee were all expected. He decided to have us run all the water everywhere in the house for him to see if the hot water tank (which was recently replaced in the past 3 years) would have the pressure valve flood the floor and it didn't. He changed the dial on our hot water tank to raise the pressure to see if that was the cause and it wasn’t. This is important because he didn’t just turn a dial like he claimed to his boss, he had us test our hot water tank as part of diagnostics. Yet when I asked about hot water he said that should be fine later. He later damaged our property, promised his boss would call about it, they didn't and I had to call Service King whom he works for that he left us with and damaged house and cold water for several days. When he finally showed up after 2 days of no shows, Byron gets me to self diagnosis and click the switches on the hot water tank myself and then demanded $389 for him not fully checking his work or his BOSS was willing not to charge if they didn’t have to pay for the house damage and almost home injury to me that Byron caused by dropping his Auger uncontrollably down our stairs. This attitude of his almost caused potential injury, but more on that later. He didn't bother to check the warning light on the tank and make sure it was working like I politely asked when he was first at the home since he didn't just turn a dial, he had us test it out for weaknesses. Throughout dealing with the hot water tank he didn't check the error light to make sure it was still working and instead assumed it was working despite that being part of "diagnosis of the issue." We found out it was the Main Waterline connected to the city sewage and NOT the hot water tank and how he tested it. It was decided that paying for an Auger and a snake camera to check were the best options and it did stop the flooding but it got WORSE before he fixed the issue. BYRON didn't check the Auger's handle and it came off early as he was taking it downstairs. A couple hundred pounds literally came crashing down uncontrollably, gouging deep marks into our hardwood stairs and left a tire mark on one of the walls, and it can crashing towards me at the bottom and I stopped it with my boot as it's momentum slowed. Byron basically tried to ignore the damages he caused until we pressed him and he promised to tell his boss and get him to call us soon, that was a lie as no one knew what he did when I called about the damages and later the continued cold water after he left. I had to call and inform his employer about the damages and the fact he almost caused injury, I asked what they suggested and they just wanted an estimate to fix. To be kind, I looked up the cost of materials and decided to do the labour myself. I had to call and be promised for 3 days that Byron would see us about the hot water tank and I asked if this would cost money considering his work led to no hot water for us but the question was ignored. That was because his boss at Service King gave us an ultimatum, either pay Byron $400 for coming out there and doing NOTHING as I checked the light and sensor under his supervision but he didn’t touch our hot water tank to fix it at all. I asked if it still didn't work what would happen and Byron admitted that he would charge us more money to come back and "fix" the hot water tank he abused in his "diagnosis." So if you want a Ratman named Byron in your home, damaging your stairs & walls, possibly hurting someone recklessly, taking no accountability for their work, and later extorting you under pressure to pay for problems they caused (it is extortion because it was pay $400 and get home repairs done they caused, or don't pay Byron and forgive the damages he caused) or refused to check when asked for accountability in his work, all for the sake of greed.

Got a coupon off of facebook for $100:00 and thought it too good to be true, I called and booked an appointment for the following day. Byron the plumber showed up on time and proceeded with the work. Decent price considering the $100:00 discount and great to deal with. Overall very happy with the service and price and will be recommending them to friends
