★ ★ ★ ★ ★ New renovation is cool and it opens up the space for more people. Beers on tap are decent. The only problem is its often overcrowded. It feels like a sardine can on busy nights and you have to fight your way to the bar or outside.

We have no other similar venues in the city with recent closures, and the Park staff and management still go out of their way to provide an amazing venue and experience night in, night out, and deserve our local support. I've been to dozens upon dozens of shows here, including since the recent (awesome) renovation. Which again, they didn't even really have to do as they have limited competition and did it strictly to improve the audience experience, and to attract more acts that would otherwise skip Winnipeg entirely.
The local beer on tap is a rotation and a great touch, and the prices are better than at Leopold's pub right next door (yes, concert venue beer pricing cheaper than a nearby bar, you read that right). I'll keep coming back! Thanks Park Theater.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Saw the show at the Park Theatre on Apr 5, 2022. Sarah Harmer was great - her guitar work and her voice both in very fine form. Unfortunately, the band's sound was muddy and unbalanced. The bass was much too loud and so was the kick drum. Keyboards and background vocals could hardly be heard. (I was standing just below the foyer in the middle of the room.) To compare, the last couple of concerts I attended were the Milk Carton Kids concert at the Crescent Fort Rouge United Church in 2018 and The Mike Downes Quartet at the West End Cultural Centre in 2019. Both had crystal clear sound.
If you want to know what the Sarah Harmer concert sounded like, put your speakers underneath your couch cushions. The audience was talking and on their phones throughout the event.
Ms. Harmer deserves a better sound mix, a better venue and a better audience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love how the place sounds, always nice and close. Bar service could be faster, and there needs to be seating options for invalids like me. Sold out show made it very difficult to move around safely. Great place though. Thank God there is a place for live music here

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went to the CD release for Sweet Alibi's new CD, "Make A Scene" at The Park. The renovations and the new layout are great for concerts and shows. New stage lighting is very cool. Sound booth and equipment and great techs made for great acoustics. New bar area with lots of room to mingle. Suggest that the bar have an option to buy coffee and tea.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've never been to Park theatre, the venue was fresh and the staff were super nice. Sound was good and views were good. Bar staff were great. Seems like the accessibility would be great too with a newer ramp.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Saw Dance With the Dead, and Magic Sword here on April 2nd. The venue has a very open feeling with high ceilings and lots of room, compared to some of the other smaller venues here in Winnipeg. They offer a great selection of local craft beer, and other alcoholic beverages. The staff are all very welcoming, and were very quick to get everyone inside once the doors opened. I hope to come back in the future.
