Chef Carlos grew up in Mexico City in a food culture as diverse and unique as any in the world. After leaving Mexico when he was 19, he spent many years working in kitchens across the US and discovering his passion for creating food that everyone can enjoy

The delicious, authentic food created a following so loyal that when Chef Carlos and Janette decided to open a restaurant in 2016, it did not take long for the place to fill up regularly. Now, they are looking to the future, as they have been so fortunate to have such amazing clientele. Coming up with a fusion concept of mexican stylish food and local canadian ingredients.

The food took an hour to come out for our party of four (the restaurant wasn’t overly busy- maybe 2/3 full max) and once it did I was disappointed with the Al Pastor pizza. One of my favourite tacos at La Patrona fell very flat in the pizza version. Very salty, not much other flavour aside from the odd piece of pineapple. Crust was the best part. Also ordered a virgin pina colada which was very very syrupy and sweet (where I love the ones at L.P!). Asked for water and that was forgotten about by our waitress. My friend did like her Brisket pizza, my husband rated his Top House Chorizo Burger a 5/10. So, overall a disappointing experience! Hope this was just a one off as other reviews seem good, but not sure I’d be willing to try it again.

I would highly suggest they expand on the flavors as I would happily pay for a flight of them and the ability to try several tequilas. The owner is always walking around to check on the customers. The food is regular with a Mexican influenced twist. They are pretty bang on when it comes to flavors. The baked potato almost brought tears to my eyes. They raised the bar for me and I will never want another potato without fried cheese again. The flatbreads are delicious and the ribeye is always ordered by someone at the table.

We ended up taking home the leftovers because it was a lot of food for 2 people. Nachos felt like was freshly made and it was delicious! I also loved the watermelon margarita! The flatbread pizza was good but would taste better if the dough was a bit thinner. But all in all, we enjoyed the food. Definitely would recommend this place. The service was excellent too! I hope the menu selection would be bigger in the future.?

Flavors were great. Wasn't a fan of how pulpy the margarita was, but that's not a big deal. Overall menu is a little pricey but not outrageous.

R	Rose B on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We recently celebrated by husband's birthday here with 19 our friends. The service was incredible with a sincere intention to make our party a success. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The kitchen put out 21 meals flawlessly and the presentation instantly made your mouth water. The added bonus of the live music kept our crowd grooving until closing time and made the party a great success. I cannot thank the chef and staff enough for a job well done. Oh and the décor and lighting made for excellent pictures.

Stephanie, our waitress really made the whole experience memorable for us she was very personal and catered to the kids to make them feel special. The atmosphere and artwork inside the restaurant are perfect for an evening out and the drinks were crafted nicely. Speedy service and great food, a little on the pricey side but you get what you pay for in this case.

They had live music and we were told there's live music on Fridays and Saturdays as well as Salsa dancing starting at 9:00. Highly recommend this restaurant as well as La Patrona.
