The Organic Box is local first. This means we buy as close to home as possible. But we also define local by buying from people who act locally in their own communities—own their own land, pay their workers living wages—with the money staying in those communities.
When it comes to making our food choices, The Organic Box follows the money. We care about where your food dollar is going and work hard to ensure it stays in the communities producing the food. That's because we realize our purchases have a meaningful impact to the producers we buy from.
We strive to buy locally first, partner with local producers and work with other local businesses for services like insurance, vehicle purchases/maintenance, fuel for our delivery fleet and more. We want to keep as much of every dollar you spend in your communities and support organic producers providing an economic benefit to their own communities, whether that is 100 or 10,000 miles away.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you enjoy bruised and near moldy fruit and waterlogged greens at a premium price, this is the place for you. I have tried several times to get behind this place and love the concept. I also understand its hard to source things here in Edmonton. However, I have constantly been let down by the quality of most of their products and my complaint is not just a one-off. I can't be paying $60 for a box of produce every week and sending 1/4 to 1/3 a week directly to the compost pile. Not only that, they don't follow delivery instructions half the time and don't follow up when you log your issues with each box with their online system.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I would love nothing more than to recommend a company that purports to be on the side of both the customer and the farmer, but the customer service team of Pat and Harmonie are so unfriendly, so unkind, and completely unhelpful that I have to urge you to look elsewhere. Don't expect this team to be people friendly because they are not. I repeatedly asked to speak to the owners, and that request was repeatedly denied. Another really important issue for those of us in the middle of pandemic—perhaps suffering financial hardship—is this company's pricing: They are the most expensive grocery portal in Alberta. On top of that, they force you to pay a mandatory donation fee with every, single order. This is not optional if you want food. Frankly, when you're the one who needs the donation, this is a tough one. You can easily find other venues with the same or similar products for a lot less. I have!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Box came on the day expected and was packaged perfectly to not squish any of the items. Everything was kept cold and in cooler bag. All fruit and veges were the perfect amount of ripeness, including avacados which is difficult! Will be ordering every two weeks going forward!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fantastic experience with them from beginning to end. The website is easy to navigate, their range of products is great. While you won't find all the produce the world has to offer, keep in mind they try to source as local as possible and no one needs dragon fruit to survive. Their packaging uses the least amount of plastic I have experienced through delivery. Their deals are nice. Their team is fantastic. I had a wonderful...fantastic really, woman deliver my box. She clearly belonged to the team and was genuinely happy to have a new customer join their group. I even received a little welcome gift. The produce I ordered was top notch (including fruits)...no brown spots, no rot. Their meat is from excellent producers. Their breads are great. I highly recommend. Forget the needless large grocery stores and get back to what kitchens are supposed to look like. One small warning - if you do biweekly deliveries, be aware that deals change weekly. If you happen to see a deal within the first week and add it to your box, the price will automatically go back to full the following.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Whoever is driving your van today February 20th around 1:57 pm in our neighbourhood (Beaumaris) is in such a rush. I saw your van drive by fast from my front window. Not very safe when roads are icy and it’s in a residential.

During quarentine i seen there truck delivering to my nabourhood, figured I would give it a try.. dont let anybody else pick your fruits and veggies.. gave me theast ones inwould ofnpicked if i went to the store.. inordered a pack of 6 bananas.. it came in 4 and 2 separate and when they are separated before they are rippen the texture isnt thw same and they are basicly grows to eat.. they dont rippe proprely… im super disappointed and will never order there again.. terrible 1 experience!!!! Apples and organges looked good.. not happy w the rest at all. & mo note or any instruction on what to do with the big green box…… idk what to do with it now…

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Just received my first box and I’m very pleased. The quantity is very fair and everything seems fresh except the celery which appears to be on one of its last day’s. I like that they refrained from using plastic where they could but some of the items came wrapped in plastic unfortunately. It comes in a reusable green bin and gets delivered right to your door! They gave me a few complimentary items to make coconut rice which was a lovely touch. I also like that you can customize your order if there is anything you don’t like.
