Married August 30, 2014, Matthew & Melissa are a loving husband & wife team that operates The Old Red Barn.
Having graduated from Grant McEwan with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Management, Matt has been in business for several years. Most recently he has been working in business analysis, however, Matt has many years of experience within the restaurant & bar management industry. Matt loves local food, planning events & entertaining people.
Melissa has been a Licensed Practical Nurse for the last 10 years. Melissa enjoys riding horses, woodworking, and educating people about agriculture. She is also a proud Ambassador for Alberta Milk. Melissa & Matt are parents to their one son, Theodore.

Everyone involved made the experience that much more enjoyable. Our family and friends enjoyed watching the sunset, dancing in the loft and soaking up the farm life. I would highly recommend this venue for your wedding or intimate event!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had our wedding at The Old Red Barn, and loved being able to have both the ceremony and reception on the same site. It's a beautiful location with the addition of the Old Fashioned Mobile Bar. Matt and his team made sure that all in attendance were well looked after and enjoying themselves. The new kitchen and bathrooms made it easy for hosting a large group of people. We will definitely be back for a farm to fork dinner!

The barn is very cozy and homey, and the hosts, Matt and Melissa, are very welcoming and kind. They made the evening flow seamlessly and made us feel at home in their rustic barn. The owners thought of everything, the music was great, the food was fantastic, I loved the atmosphere, there was enough room between groups on the grass so you weren't sitting close to anyone. This was a perfect evening and I would suggest it to anyone!
