We got a couple of truck loads of mulch at Muskoka Stone. The loaders were experienced and 1 of them even used the shovel to make sure we got it all in when they put it in the back of the truck. No complaints.

Over the past few years I've seen these guys complete some very impressive projects, big and small. Boyd and his sons know what they're doing and definitely should be one of your first choices if you're looking for custom stone or concrete work in Muskoka.

We totally redid our landscaping at the cottage last year. First we spent a ton at Muskoka Stone, and received very poor service. Then we found out about Muskoka Stone. We received excellent advice and service. Prices were far better too. Very quick delivery too.

Went there around the end of August looking to purchase a wood pellet stove. Talked to who I believed to be the owner.At first he seemed interested in selling to us in fact he sent someone over to check our place out for a stove but that was it, after a number of phone calls and no return calls we gave up and gave the business to his competition who gladly helped us out.lm guessing he really doesn't need the business or the money Jim an Donna Alexander

I had an awful experience with this company, and would not recommend them to anyone! I had a β€œsmall” job that needed to be done with a sketch to be emailed to me for approval, I was told β€œno problem”. They were to email the sketch within the week. They had 6 weeks to complete this β€œsmall” job. Two weeks went by, no sketch was received. I followed up, and was told it would be sent. I received no sketch after waiting another week. Not once did I ever get a return phone call from them, it was always me calling them. If the job was too small for them they could have said so at any time when I was doing my follow ups. I was asking them to slice a stone in half and engrave the stone as a memorial, not a big job and they had 6 weeks notice. There were other calls made by me, not one phone called was ever returned. A week before the memorial service I followed up again, was told it would be ready on a certain date. I went in to get the stone, I was told it wasn’t ready, they had no idea when it would be ready and gave me a pamphlet to go somewhere else…..this is 3 days before the memorial service!!! I was distressed and disgusted, there was no way I could get someone to do this in 3 days. If they can’t handle the small stuff, I would hate to think how they treat someone who wants a big job done. Big or small that is no way to treat a customer!! By-the-way, if for some reason ( I don’t know why) you should decide to use this company, never tell them the exact date you need it done, add at least a month or more, that will give you time to find someone else when they don’t deliver.

Went in on a Saturday needing some parts for my wood stove. I know none of the proper terms for the parts but explained what I was looking for. Gentleman at the counter knew what I was describing and went in the back I got a pile of samples for me. I was able to pick out the one I needed from the samples and he gave me what I needed. Never figured I would be able to get parts on a Saturday. Now I can get my stove going again and keep house warm for family

Our family wanted to add a stone fireplace in our living, and had put it off for many years because of the cost. We decided to make this the year, and consulted four different company, including Muskoka Stone & Hearth Co. There were two issues that were impeding a smooth installation: an electrical plug a the vent being close to the gas meter. While the other three companies gave us a "Don't worry about it (wink wink). We will make it happen", Muskoka Stone and Hearth acknowledged these issues, and sought clarification on each, sending us their electrician to do a review and requesting the gas company visit as well. When all answers were obtained, they let us know how each challenge will be handled. None of the other companies cared about doing things the right way; only M S & H insisted on doing things safely and up to Code. We APPRECIATED this because we are safety-minded and want the work to be done correctly. We also chose M S & H because every time we showed up to review their vast, beautiful showroom of options (units, stone, mantels, etc etc), we were given their full attention and care. We didn't feel rushed, always received information on pricing, and they made us feel comfortable and valued! In the end, the team of professionals that were sent to our home in stages (carpenter, electrician, gas and unit installers, and the stone masons who meticulously chose, cut and placed each piece of stone), were all very clean, very polite and hard-working! What a great team you are. It was a worry-free experience and worth every penny to our family! We encourage you to visit their amazing showroom, meet the great staff and get your dream project started today! You will NEVER BE DISAPPOINTED!!

I contacted Muskoka Stone & Hearth during the second week of September to repair my propane fireplace. I was told that it would be about 2 weeks to have someone come out to fix the pilot light. After not hearing from Muskoka Stone for 3 weeks I called again and was told someone will contact me within a few days, which never happened. I called again a week later and heard the same thing, someone will call you soon. Two more weeks went by and I called again and was assured that I would get a call for a service visit soon, which also never happened. It is now November without one call back from Muskoka Stone so I called again. I asked to speak to the manager because I am obviously being ignored and I wanted an explanation as to why nobody is dealing with my fireplace. The manager was totally rude, and would not answer my questions and proceeded to tell me that they do not want my business. I am totally astonished by their attitude and complete lack of service.
