★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I called because I wanted an indoor air quality test and was told over the phone that because we had had previous water infiltration and had seen problem mold areas that we should just get an inspection.
Essentially the inspection isn’t worth it unless you have an 8 foot by 8 foot area of visible mold, which should have been explained to us before we booked.
I was basically told our house is too cluttered and that’s probably why my child is having breathing issues.
While it may be completely true that removing clutter (and the dust that comes with it) would improve indoor air quality it doesn’t tell us if we have mold spores in the air and starts to feel a bit insulting when it’s repeated to you several times and you’ve spent the last two years of a pandemic in your house without the luxury of time to declutter.
We also have return air that runs through a large section of the walls in our home so comments like “ensure tub areas are caulked” to protect us from any spores behind the wall didn’t feel 100% accurate to me.
Visit was not worth the $150 price tag and we may end up contacting another company to actually get our IAQ tested.

They sent an inspector by to evaluate the situation. He was very knowledgeable and explained next steps. Within a couple days, the team were there and we were mould free. They were punctual, thorough and efficient with their process from start to finish.
I would highly recommend using these folks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hired the Mold Guy to look into a mold issue I was having in my apartment unit. I was given reassurance, tips on how to handle any mold in the area, and whether or not I should be worried. I also requested an air quality test and the results came back in two days, which was very fast. I felt heard when I spoke about my concerns and worries and felt reassured by the team at the Mold Guy. I strongly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Having an entire condo taken over by mold, the mold guys were very efficient in demolishing the infested dry walls, the entire flooring, and the bathroom in its entirety. Their nature of work was very flexible yet detail oriented. Kay was a tremendous help through it all. She was attentive to calls and emails and was VERY impressionable, punctual and topped the level of professionalism that supersedes doing business over the phone; her communication to the team of guys was on point. Jamie and the entire really scrubbed the walls, the ducting, and the bathroom of all mold infestation, primed the affected areas to ensure no future reinfestation and through all the tough work, they were patient attend to other request. thanks a million to the entire team at THE MOLD GUY.

Ross came over to look at our damaged basement and not only gave a very thorough diagnosis, his advice was invaluable for us to get our job done right and save money. The inspector was efficient and knowledgeable, took time to assess the affected area from both inside and outside, and provided possible explanations for the issue as well as a plan to resolve it. Scheduling the investigation and the removal of the mouldy elements was quick, easy. The office staff are quick and very friendly. The crew that came to the house were also great. They were thorough and very clean, going beyond the original scope to ensure all the problem areas had been exposed and remediated. They also took all the mouldy materials with them. Payment was easy with a chip credit card reader and the total matched the original estimate.
