Super unfriendly and rather rude person in the shopping floor. Would probably never go back to that place. ============================== Update: I just wanted to thank the manager very much for following up so quickly and their willingness to rectify the issue. During our visit, my friends and I all agreed that the Modest Butcher Market was a wonderful wine shop to visit with a great selection of wines, and it was such a shame for the whole business to be represented by a single unprofessional staff member. We're very happy your prompt addressing of the issue; it is really nice to see how you value your customers. I actually decided to change my 1-star to a 5-start review, as the original review wouldn't be a fair one anymore. Once again, we really appreciate your response and kind offer to make up for our experience. Thank you and hope to visit your shop again during the summer!

It was a quiet lunchtime experience for me and my parents. The service was amazing, although food was slow coming out of kitchen. Meals didn't arrive together for three of us. The food was really good and portion sizes were perfect. The brussel sprouts appetizer was really good. Will definitely try again - maybe a patio experience next time. ?

I had wanted to go to Modest Butcher for a while... New Year's Eve my husband made reservations. We dressed up got a hotel for the kids ordered them pizza and proceeded to go for dinner. We had just sat down and I received a phone call from my aunt that my father had died. I was absolutely devastated I started crying in the restaurant pretty much had a complete breakdown pacing the restaurant, not having a clue what to do and left. Although the meal was prepaid no refunds without exception the Modest Butcher was kind enough to refund our money I was in later informed by my husband.A couple months went by I decided I would like to go there for my birthday and try again. My husband was a little leery as that is where I found out my father had passed.. when we arrived there was beautiful roses and tulips on the table my husband placed for me... we sat in the same spot we did New Year's Eve (which was purely coincidence) The management brought me out a complimentary cheese and meat platter and a drink It was so good ? we were joined by another couple our waiter Chris who was by far the most amazing waiter I have ever experienced in my whole entire life made my experience completely amazing!!! Later he informed me he too had lost his father and understand how I had felt that evening as he stated he was my waiter on New Year's . I did not remember as I was so upset these that evening. The family at Modest Butcher are amazing wonderful beautiful people ? Chris is so knowledgeable about this restaurant and has so much passion for it I don't even have words !! He knows every single detail about every food where it came from how it got there it amazed me ! My five stars are not even enough to give them this is a six star above and beyond restaurant! I recommend it to anybody these people not only go above and beyond their job they have hearts of gold !❤️❤️ Thank you Modest Butcher I love you to the moon and back!

Loved happy hour at the Modest Butcher. We sampled a number of appetizers and loved them. The Brussels sprouts with a velvety hummus is a big hit, pork belly was first rate and the Gnocchi were like little clouds. I also loved the deep fried egg. The view was spectacular and the service first rate. We are quickly becoming regulars there.

Fine dining in a beautiful laidback setting. My first visit at the Modest Butcher was for a family gathering, we had a party of 6 and had an amazing experience. The location and venue is amazing, the food is high end, but the vibe is laid back which I personally loved. In terms of food, the "things on toast" was an amazing starter. I had the chicken sandwich by recommendation of host Logan and it did not disappoint. Felt out of place getting a chicken sandwich with all these great things on the menu but I would highly recommend. The Trifle dessert was and an amazing way to end the night. Modest Butcher is a must see if in the area, love what they bring to the wine corridor and Lakeview Heights.

A fancy restaurant with a great beef The ribeye steak is amazing and the burger is so tasty It's a winery as well so you can enjoy some good wine with your steak. My favorite wine there is the Summit

Went there for dinner a couple weeks ago and had an amazing experience! Will definitely go there again. Shout out to our waiter, I believe his name was Garret. He only added to the already amazing experience. Also the best cheesecake I’ve ever had (posted below).

Cool vibe, lovely view and setting here. The food is also delicious. I had an amazing fresh salad, others enjoyed French onion soup, Brussels sprouts, and some of the famous beef, referred to in the restaurant name. We did our own informal tasting with the help of Spencer, our engaging server. He recommended we try the Rust Syrah, which we all loved! The tasting room and market downstairs is impressive and the staff is friendly.
