I moved here for my wife. Unfortunately 5 months later she was taken from me and thankfully I was there with lots of support during and after the departure of my wife. I quickly found I was not the typical person of or in need of the services of the Manor and decided to think about moving back to my home or elsewhere once I had time to grieve my loss. Unfortunately or perhaps fortunately I have found comfort and acceptance in what now appears to have become my home. The residences are friendly and quickly become friends. The facilities are without question what every aging individual can use or need. Perhaps more importantly is the staff, each and everyone of them regardless of their job or efforts on behalf of the Manor making leaving the Manor very difficult as I quickly realize to replace what I now have in my new home would be near impossible. I think it would be fair to say I have come to appreciate what I have and not seeking to find better or more!

My assisted living experience was very good. the care by staff was almost always prompt and excellent - -almost because there was one exception which I reported to the wellness director

Great place for residents needing assisted living. It even has a floor for Dementia patients. All residents are able to participate in in lots of activities such as bus and shopping tours, movie nights and more...

My Mom moved into the Manor in Varsity Estates at the beginning of June. From the beginning, she has been greeted by friendly staff who have β€˜checked in’ with her and continue to reach out to her. Dealing with Vovid-19 has been, and continues to be a challenge. I appreciate the efforts Andries and other staff have made to support and follow guidelines and recommendations as set out by Alberta health care experts. My Mom continues to β€˜settle in’ and is grateful and feels β€˜at home’ at the Manor.

Just celebrated my 2nd year here at the Manor Village at Varsity and this a wonderful environment to work in. their focus is really about the One Resident in front of me. The Support team is here to support you; the staff survey is done to "get that finger on the pulse" and action is taking. Your hard work is being recognized in extra benefits amounts and in public congratulations. The owner asks us regularly what we are looking for in wages, benefits and work environment and he will direct the support team to make it happen. We have received higher wages and better benefits because of him.

As a family member of a resident & former healthcare worker, I cannot say enough about the quality of care & services at The Manor. Our parent transitioned from Assisted Living to Memory Care seamlessly thanks to the extraordinary care & compassion of the team. From administration to PCA's, to maintenance, to cleaning staff, to those who those who create the well-balanced meals, to medical staff, our parent could not be in a safer, more caring environment. Their attention to enforcing AHS COVID precautions & sanitation in the building could not be better. This is a stressful time for seniors' facilities; so grateful Manor staff have handled all challenges with skill & kindness. Great job.

My Mother moved into the Manor last October. She loves the food and usually asks to go back to "My Hotel" for dinner. She never gets tired of seeing the mountains as she works out on the treadmill. Loves the Variety of Fitness Classes. The staff are excellent, loving, and eagerly answer my questions and give me updates when they see me in the hallways. The Manor has done an excellent job protecting our loved ones through Covid. A Big Hug and Thankyou to all the Staff.

Excited to move our parent into memory care. In the beginning, we assumed an expensive private care facility meant better care. A care plan drawn up for my parent. Plenty of activities listed on the calendar did not guarantee that it took place or that my parent was brought to participate. I would phone the room when an activity was on the calendar only to discover my parent still in the room. The staff appeared to be overworked, understaffed and stressed. They did not have time to engage with the residents. When visiting, staff members were rarely visible and hard to find. Most visits I didn’t see any staff pop into the room to see if my parent was ok (my parent couldn’t operate the help button). Discovered one night that my fob would not let me off the floor after a certain time. I had to call the main phone number for a staff member to come and let me off the floor. We realize that this is hard work and appreciate what the staff could accomplish. Considering what the cost was for a secured floor, the family felt that profit was more important than resident care.
