P	Patti Bunston on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I phoned to make reservations In Newmarket for 5 o'clock for 4 people and that was no problem whatsoever. We met up with our friends and and we had an excellent dinner. Our waitress was so happy to be back at work and it showed by the way she treated us and the beautiful smile she had on her face and she just made our visit so much more enjoyable.. She interacted with us with us very friendly. I think that makes a big difference.. All of us had steak and it was done differently for each of us. I had mine charred which is something available now. I always like my steak very well done and now that I can get it charred that's even better. So my steak comes and it is very charred and it was the most delicious, tender, tasty, steak I could ever have wanted . Plus it had that beautiful charred taste. Needless to say the waitress received a big tip and to the best of my knowledge, The Keg take all the tips for the evening and then share them amongst all the staff for that evening.

Everything about it was enjoyable from the kind staff, the Covid protocols in place (contact tracing, plexiglass extended the height of the booth, not being seated next to another table that was close) as well as their attentive manner that we were celebrating a special occasion and the great atmosphere. Our server Sam was kind & checked on us regularly making sure our steak was cooked as requested and other times just to check it but it was never overbearing. She was aware of my FIL's birthday so brought out the Billy Milner pie and wished him a happy birthday. Oh have to mention that all the food was delicious! The iceberg salad with blue cheese dressing was fresh & yummy (and it was so big for the salad that came with the classic meals) + my steak was cooked a medium rare which is my preference. Would highly recommend the Keg at this location!

A keg size drink is now a regular size drink for double the price and full of Ice . The attached picture below is my main course meal . I handed back my chicken to be cooked more as it was pink in the middle along with all my vegetables, gravy and mash . 15 minutes later my main course chicken arrived back like this . In the mean time the manager came over and expressed how the chicken is cooked using a thermometer etc. Thank you for cooking my chicken better but what happened to the rest of my meal????

I had a recent flare up of my Crohn's and she was able to make great suggestions for me and everything was so yummy. Everyone enjoyed the appetizers AND our meals (i had the filet minion with salad pictured here). The staff was incredible with our group of 9. I was so happy to spend time with my family and it was a great place to spend our special birthday and Thanksgiving dinner. ? Can't ask for better service. Very satisfied. ?
R	Ruth on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Got to the door and they told us we needed reservations. This from a place that never took reservations in the past. Anyway they were able to seat us. It was super busy but the staff was very attentive. Of course the amazing bread was served within minutes and it was hard not to eat it all. For appetizers we ordered escargot. Amazing. And the cauliflower crisp bites which were fabulous. They have many vegetarian options on the menu. I ordered the vegetarian meatloaf. It looked fantastic but not really a fan of the taste. My partner had the bacon wrapped steak and enjoyed it. My only complaint was the the music was a bit on the loud side for conversation. But you can not be the keg for food quality and amazing service.
M	Manny Sahu on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came here for my bday. Decor is beautiful - warm and cozy. Ordered the old fashioned and mojito . Old fashioned was amazing while mojito was very sour. For appetizers, ordered the calamari (not pictured) and the escargot. Calamari was a hit - crispy and not the chewy kind while the escargot was a disappointment as sauce was too overpowering. The mains were amazing and we ordered all the proteins. Every dish was cooked to perfection. I did not get any crab in my salmon dish which was the only complaint.
