★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful apartment building with "micro-lofts," very tiny hotel-room sized studio apartments. The elevator was not operating properly when we arrived as a guest, and there were several times that we noticed large spills in the lobby area for several days. Besides that, the building is well-appointed, with a waterview from nearly every unit, from what I can tell.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful stay at The Janion at the end of July. It was literally the best place we have ever stayed at! We wish we would have known about places like this before, rather than staying at hotels. The place was very, very clean. There wasn't a speck of dust to be found on the bathroom mirror or water stains on the shower. Being a germaphobe, I felt very comfortable staying at this place. The location was fantastic - it's only a short walk to the Legislative Building. It was very easy to check in and we loved how the place came with a washer and dryer! It was great being able to wash our clothing after traveling. The place comes with a kitchen, so we were able to do some cooking. It was also incredibly clean. I loved how there was a Nespresso machine to try out. The owners have labeled things in the suite, so you know where to find items and how to use for example, the dishwasher. The place was very cleverly designed and decorated. We loved the balcony to sit on and watch people walk by. The only issue I have with this place is that it was so amazing that our standards have been raised and any other place we stay at now will pale in comparison to this one!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The location of this place was good. The host was very friendly. BUT I found brown stains on the bedsheet and yellow stains on the blanket. The sheets were also extremely crumply. I contacted the manager and they were changed the next day, but this is the filthiest bed I've seen. And just to let you know that there was a CAD 165 cleaning fee that's being charged when you book through them, and this is what you're getting. I would never stay there again. There's also a construction site right outside my window, so if you're staying there, be prepared to be awakened at 7am by loud construction noises.
