Covid sucks but come on. I booked two front row seats for Stayin Alive Canada for Fri. Apr 24, 2020. Well Covid struck and I got an email saying the show was postponed. Very disappointed but completely understandable. I was to be notified of the re-scheduled show or ask for a refund. Well here it is almost two years later and I check and the show has been re-scheduled to Fri. Feb 4, 2022 but I was never notified and my seats are GONE to someone else. No one answers the phone and repeated e-mails with REFUND in the subject line have been ignored. I read there is a new owner there now. I guess I kissed my $110 goodbye dealing with this place. Beware when you book tickets here

Perfect venue for live music...can't wait for Beach Boys and other retro bands (sound just like original groups)...try it...you'll like it there

Went to see Jack Dekeyzer and band (2022). Had a fantastic time. The theatre is great! Clean washrooms. A bar. Comfy seats.

Great venue with some awesome bands. This years lineup looks exciting. You can certainly see the upgrades that took place. Looking forward to more.

The Gayety is the small theater with the big feel. Great tribute bands play here like Elton John, Led Zeplin, Queen and many many more. Fun night with live entertainment.

For the record, I really dislike posting negative reviews. I always try to work with the company first ... but I wanted to make sure others knew about our experience, in case it is a trend. I am an Event Producer with 20+ years experience. In 2019, we added Collingwood to our list of venues, and had a fantastic sold out event. We paid a deposit for our 2020 Event, and planned to expand from 1 to 3 nights. COVID happens -- we understand. It was decimating to the entire Entertainment Industry. We have numerous emails with Gayety Theatre that we can either have a refund, or keep the deposit on the books for a future show when the venue reopens. At that time, no one knew COVID would last for years. As the months went on, it became really clear that reopening was not going to be soon, and requested the promised refund. No Replies. Another email. No Replies. Phone Calls. No Replies. I tried again this week, and was told the Gayety Theatre is a leased building, and now has a new lease holder. I ask for the contact info of someone who knows how where might our deposit have ended up. I was told they couldn't help, and advised that the new rental fee was now 65% higher. I get it -- new business, new pricing structure, inflation, etc. So, I make a few calls, Google a wee bit, find the information regarding where the Deposit Money ended up. Trying to be helpful to other Event Producers who had their deposit disappear, I email the Contact Information to the Gayety Theatre. Their reply? They didn't want to be involved in a "squabble" (there is no "squabble -- it's a simple business transaction. This stuff happens -- it is easy to remedy). They were more concerned with *how* I got the Contact Information, claiming that it was Private Information -- no concern given for the people who lost their deposits in this transaction. They claimed I was threatenting them. Ummm ... nope. Just trying to make sure other people in our position get the correct Contact Info. In closing, beautiful theatre. Absolutely stunning. But the lack of focus and care in our initial communications should be enough to have any Event Producer to choose another venue. COVID hit the Event Industry pretty hard -- venues shouldn't be taking money that doesn't belong to them at any time, let alone during COVID. When we learn another company has does this, we should help people get answers (my opinion, anyway). **To the Gayety Theatre: We recognize that you may not have direct knowledge of the exact accounting that took place during the departure of the previous Lessee. But when people in the Event Industry talk about venues they will no longer work with, the focus will be on how you handled it once you became aware that there were some questions about the transfer. **UPDATE: I received a Phone Call from the New Lessee. It start off not great -- we understand -- these situations are super tricky, awkward, and not everyone's "best day at work". We managed to (hopefully) get things back on track as a result of the two Business Owners willing to have difficult and honest conversations. There are 100 other clients and businesses who think that an unfortunate situation is "The End". It isn't the end. It is an opportunity to really hear one another, and make things better for everytone.

Best experience I have ever had at any venue. My dad is in a wheelchair and they went out of their way to make sure he was comfortable and had a great seat for the stampeders concert. Thank you JP and Sky for making the experience so amazing for him! 1000/10 on service!
