She is without doubt the first therapist I refer to when it comes to working effectively with clients diagnosed with ADHD and autism spectrum disorders. She combines a wide range of professional and personal experiences in helping her clients succeed where many other therapists fail. Alina treats each and every client with the utmost care and respect whether she’s working with individuals, couples, or families. I consider Alina an expert in her field and she clearly shows this as the host of the CFRU radio show Strange Brains Talk Radio, as the regular ADHD and Asperger's specialist on the TV show Inside Guelph on Rogers TV, and in her ADHD and Asperger’s column in the Ontarion. She is dedicated and passionate in advocating for people with disabilities and in taking every opportunity to help others. Alina has helped broaden my understanding and appreciation of the unique abilities and gifts that people diagnosed with ADHD and autism spectrum disorders offer. She is at the forefront of the “neurodiversity” movement in helping society at large understand that these differences are to be respected and celebrated rather than simply pathologized. All the staff have lived experience of ADHD and/or ASD which means they totally get what is going on and can offer a unique perspective. I have learnt alot from the team here around accepting and managing my own ADHD type personality.
