★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Place is dingy and beat up, but it had a nice vibe to it. Went and saw stand up comedy. I'd come back, but it definitely could use more fixing up.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This venue was not great when it was still The Projection Booth, seems to have gotten worse. It has a very rundown feeling to it, with bad smells and even worse, rodents. The building felt cold as well which makes me wonder how ideal a venue it is during the long Toronto winters. There are lots of aspects that need renovating or a complete overhaul, not to mention with issues with their projection and audio equipment for screenings. I totally get wanting to revitalize the space and have a more indie vibe but it really feels like not nearly enough work has been put into it. Avoid if you can.
P.S. I know it's been months but I still can't believe they tried to steal The Revue's Drunken Cinema programming series, right down to the cards.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Grungy in a very fun way. Everything from the battered seats, the ladder heading up to the projector room and the snack bar selling questionably legal snacks is very fun. I have yet to see a full house so I wouldn't worry about getting to any showings too early.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great venue they have done an excellent job and bringing it back to life. The sound was great. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Lots of different types of events going on here. Would go back 13/10 times ;)

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great venue!! Needs some sprucing up but that's part of the charm. However the lack of heating is a downer - if I was doing renovations that would be my first fix priority.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the best vibes inside watching a Comedy Show. Got to see Mike Rita perform and other comedians do a roast on him for his 30th birthday. His stand ups are dope literally... What an amazing event and I was bless to experience it all at the Grand Gerrard Theatre.
