Very friendly and helpful staff. I was able to find some great back issues of comic books I've been looking for ,the ones I couldn't find the staff looked in their system to try and find. I found this to be very helpful. Lots of toys and different items perfect for gifts.

Drove by this place today and was immediately drawn to all the collectibles available. The Gargoyle offers comic books and collectibles from Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z, Godzilla, Marvel, DC, you name it. I found out The Gargoyle is a regular at FanExpo and decided to have a pop-up location only for the summer time so they won’t be around too long. They’ve got great selection, something for everyone so it’s definitely worth it to bring the family. Support small business :)

This is such a cool place. I called ahead regarding filling my balloons with heliums. Due to covid they're not always in the shop. The owner is very friendly and arrived on time to fill my balloons. While waiting I found a lot of interesting items! Operating a small business is not easy.... Everyone Shop Local!!

It's an awesome Mom and Dad comic, video game and collectibles shop! It has literally anything you would identify as collectible from figurines to rare toy cars and masks that actually look and feel awesome! ((I got a Naruto one)

[*Read the following review with the knoweldge that it was written during covid so some of the things experiences may have been negatively impacted by the hard times] Sadly The Gargoyle was not great. I mean, I suppose it depends on what you are looking for, I like my comic shops crowded and a bit dingy, but unfortunately this sport's 'character' gets in the way of enjoyment or even really being able to find something quality. Maintenance and organization of the bins was slightly dubious, more what you'd expect out of an old record store where people aren't too concerned with the physical condition but this is comics and that kind of detail matters. Fun for a browse but serious collectors can probably take a pass

First time here, there is a sigh on the door to knock and wait before entering (COVID-19 times) though the look on what I suspect to me the owners face was 'why did you knock', I am not bashing small business just if the sigh isn't valid... remove it. To me the style of the store reminded me more of a thrift shop or garage sale, if you're looking for vintage or collectables you'll find it just not in mint condition. They sell helium balloons, not a bad side hustle. I would just day if for high end or a true gem is on your shopping list head down to The Silver Snail in Yonge St near Dundas Square. There are some board games available and by the looks of it some unlicensed face mask they even had a Beatles themed one.

My son loves this store and all the unique items they have. The owners are very friendly and helpful. They have lots of various items and each section has similar characters placed together to easily locate certain shows or characters. I highly recommend this store to everyone :)
