★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Received dinner in the Crystal Ballroom for a wedding. The wait staff kept me informed about all courses of the dinner regarding my allergy. This was the best handling of my allergy by any restaurant and made me feel safe while being able to enjoy the evening.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is listed on the historical register... It is very old and stately. High ceilings and gilded woodwork throughout! The rooms are large and spacious as well! However, there was a strange decor choice in my room of a life-size dog! It felt like he was staring at me the whole time...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive: Staff were very good, especially our server in the restaurant for dinner on The 26th of April. She was wonderful - engaging, funny and very good at reading us! ¿¿ Negative: The toilet kept running after it was flushed. Room 231 Unfortunately not any view at all so the room was quite dark.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My biggest factor about a hotel is the comfort of the bed. I want to sleep well when I’m on work or vacation traveling. This hotel had one of the most comfortable beds I’ve been in in all of my travel around the world. Reference my photo (sorry the beds a mess that’s on me!) to see how plush the bed and sheets are. It gets better from there. All of the staff were wonderful, the room was homey, I like the old royal feel to the place and the lobby is exquisite. The hot water is immediate which is wonderful when weather outside is below 0 degrees. This is weird to say but the soap smells great and is nice as well as the shampoo, conditioner, etc. It’s a great fun and social vibe in the evenings in the lobby and restaurant. Parking did cost money but the upper parking lot is close to the rear door which is great for getting in and out (since it’s so cold here in the winter) and to the elevators quickly. I really enjoyed my stay here and recommend it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lodged here on a business trip from the States. Older property but will remodeled/maintained. Medium sized rooms. I had a King room with walk-in shower. Small bathroom. Nice Bourbon selection at the bar. Good food in restaurant.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent boutique/anitque style hotel. Comfortable beds and pillows with a super restaurant with a pianist playing all evening. Great wine selection too. 4 star rating due to the outdoor parking being extremely tight both in and out as well as the rooms are dated which I get, but some refinements would be appreciated.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of Canada’s grand railway hotels. This building is beautiful and historic, and a Winnipeg landmark. The rooms themselves are well appointed and comfortable. The hotel is also very reasonably priced for what you are getting. The spa on the top floor is definitely the best in the city. It is always a pleasure to visit here, wherever it is for dinner, to visit the spa, or for a weekend getaway.
