I had an amazing experience at The Derm Centre. Dr. Victoria Taraska and her entire staff were so professional, and i had been so nervous the first time, but they made me feel so comfortable, and very concerned with the problem I presented with!! My daughter also loved her experience here.

Absolutely the best, most caring doctor in the city. She goes above and beyond to make sure that you are cared about. Highly highly recommend

I have been going to The Derm Centre monthly for 7 months now for laser hair removal, and I absolutely love the results that I am seeing❤ Before I started my laser hair removal I had a free consultation with Dr. Victoria Taraska and a dermatologist that performs the laser hair removal. Besides talking to me about the process they both answered any questions and concerns I had without any hesitation When I arrived for my first session, I met Carla, who is the dermatologist that has done the majority of my laser hair removal. She explained to me exactly what she was going to be doing and what I can expect. I will be the first to admit that I am a huge suck when it comes to pain! Carla immediately put me to ease offering me a small hand held plastic fan (I believe she has a stress ball as well) to hold to help me relax. Although the fan helped a lot it was more the thought of being able to concentrate on holding something that helped. It definitely helped me relax and if there was pain, I would just laugh and it made it more tolerable? If I asked to stop for a moment she gladly did. Carla did tell me about a numbing cream that I could purchase, but I chose not to as truthfully the pain is not bad at all. I would strongly recommend The Derm Centre to anyone seeking treatment! They even sell a lash growth serum that I plan on checking out in the future. In the 7 months I have been going to The Derm Centre I've never had a disappointing experience, if anything the friendliness and professionalism has exceeded my expectations.

I went in for a counselling and two microneedling sessions and each time, I was met with unnecessary rude behaviour, specially at front desk. Considering the demographic of the area, I ignored it. I should have taken it into consideration. The first treatment went well and I was quite happy with it. The second treatment, however, was conducted with such lack of care that my whole face is now scarred and I have acne all over - before this, I used to get maybe one or two pimple here and there. Even the recovery period looked much different and felt weird compared to the first treatment. I felt her drag the needle over the one pimple I had multiple times - despite my request before the treatment to stay away from it. I was also running late for this appointment (5mins) and instead of recommending either a reschedule or a cancellation, the receptionist told me that they would just not leave the numbing cream on for as long as it is required. What sort of punitive response is that?? Just charge me a cancellation fee instead and reschedule? When I inquired about that response, I was told this is a standard response for everyone. I’m not sure how that makes the situation any better. I should have left at that point - but I went forward with the treatment and now I wake up daily with a scarred face when I had only some blemishes prior to the treatment. It has been months of recovery and my skin is still scarred. The lack of remorse from this place when I reached out was outstanding. I got my refund but at what cost? I would not recommend this place - specially not to any POC. I do not know if the person who performed this treatment and ruined my skin did it intentionally or they were simply inept. Either way, it was not worth it. Edit: They said that they would reach out. They did not.

Dr. Taraska and her team are extremely kind and knowledgeable. I have had the privilege to interact with Dr. Taraska and she is very well versed in both cosmetic and skin conditions. When I went to get a second opinion, I could not find someone else who was more knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend

The staff at the Derm Centre are friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I've been for two treatments, and both experiences were very positive. Lorelei (RN) is very skilled at what she does. I had no pain or discomfort after my visit, and I was very happy with the results. I would highly recommend their services.

Although I’ve only been in twice—once for my initial assessment and another time to receive a test treatment to ensure I wouldn’t experience any adverse reactions—each visit has been a genuine pleasure. The technicians with whom I’ve interacted, Michelle and Carla, were knowledgeable, friendly, and addressed my concerns with professional aplomb. I am about to receive my first actual treatment and am certain the appointment will remain as positive as my previous interactions. Dr. Taraska herself was warm and friendly, and left me feeling confident I was in capable hands to receive the treatment I sought. I would 100% recommend the Derm Centre to anyone looking to receive skincare treatment and will definitely return for any concerns in the future.
