The Deck Store (Toronto)

We have been working with Stacey Tsontzidis at the Toronto store - gathering information, going through materials, etc. for an upcoming build at our place northwest of Toronto. I just wanted to say - even before we build - that her level of knowledge and service is incomparable. She is super good natured and has been giving us the good & not-so-good side to different materials - and she always ALWAYS pulls up a photo of a past job to illustrate her point. The Staff at The Deck Store in Toronto are very knowledgeable, best experience I ever had in years. Alain the Vice President of Retail Operations went out of his way by asking every question possible to find out what product and colors would be best for our project. I think what's truly special about The Deck Store is the communication by e-mail follow up, he even follow up after hours from home, I have never experience something like this in my past from other big company. As a Builder the Pricing is very competitive and the Value of the Customer Service is worth more then a discount. I will continue working with this company and spread the word to my friends and family.. Great job.

Without a doubt, Alain is a great boss, and I have learned so much from his wisdom. Alain is always there to teach, support and inspire his team. I called the Ottawa Deckstore number looking for information on deck supplies for a deck i was building on my own. Without me knowing that the DeckStore location in Ottawa is currently being moved, the phone was immediately answered by Alain, but from the GTA location. From the very first call Alain and his team have been nothing but on task in regards to any request I have had for pricing, product information, samples and guidance. The Deckstore team has delivered on every timeline they had committed to. From the Alain as the lead, to the AP team to the delivery truck team; everyone has been extremely polite and responsive. The thought of buying from a distance (GTA vs Ottawa) was a bit intimidating at first, especially for a deck with so many moving parts (lights, railing, stairs etc); but with Zoom calls set-up so Alain could walk us around the showroom and show us samples in real time the experience as close to being there in person as you could hope for. I would highly recommend the Deckstore team to anyone looking at a deck project no matter where you reside. Scott

Amazing experience dealing with Stacey at the deck store. While I was planning an outdoor space during COVID with no access to a showroom, Stacey was accessible and very knowledgeable in deck design and product performance. Additionally, I was impressed with her willingness to work overtime including a weekend consult to ensure my project was completed on time. Highly recommended, thank you Stacey!

This distributor of deck boards are terrible at giving you info about the product that you purchase from them. My wife and I asked specific questions about the Tiva product that we purchased from her and whether they had any feed back from other customers, we told her where it would be installed and told her that we had some concern about putting composite down because we had been told that if it wasn’t high enough off the concrete it might absorb to much moister. She said that this product by Tiva would not have any of those problems, in fact she said that they could literally be installed in water. My contractor told her that he had never worked with this product and if the install was the same as composite and she said yes but never gave him the installation instructions that she is suppose to print out for the installer.After the install I’m having all kinds of issues with the product with expansion and contraction cupping and swelling at the ends. When I called her and told her some of the issues I was having she quickly passed the buck and that she would have a company rep call me, also did not tell me that the clips that she was suppling were not from the same company, but proceeded to tell us that the clips that she gave us were the ones to use. They are steel and 4 months after the install we had to remove some board to replace them and the clips are already rusted. A word of warning if you buy anything from them make sure that your getting the right info and get it in writing. I was very disappointed with the product that she sold me at a premium price, I surely would not recommend them to anyone that is looking for that type of product.

Cant say enough positive things about Stacey and the Deck Store in Toronto. I did enormous amount of research on optional products and Tiva Deck was my final choice, and love every linear foot of it. Stacey was so knowledgeable and helpful with all aspects of the project, fastening options, and the final finished deck looks amazing. Any follow up reorders for additional product was fast and accurate and Stacey always went above and beyond to assist me in getting our required product. I would highly recommend this product and location for your next deck project and just ask for Stacey who is the store manager. Blue Mountains ON.

Needed a cedar ball top finial for my wooden fence that got damaged, very difficult to find until I got in touch with these folks! Went above and beyond - sourced, sorted and delivered! Thanks so much.
