About The Cure Artisanal Charcuterie

The Cure Butcher Shop & Artisanal Charcuterie was founded in Saskatoon in 2015 by Lorenzo Brazzini. Lorenzo was born and raised in Italy, where he studied to be a chef.

As a practiced Italian Butcher, along with his culinary training and experiences cooking around the world, Lorenzo settled in Saskatoon to open a local butcher shop with a focus on charcuterie.

Charcuterie is the culinary art of preparing meat products such as bacon, salami, ham, sausage, terrines, galantines, ballotines, pâtés, and confit.

The Cure uses meat from local suppliers to produce a variety of charcuterie in their butchery in Riversdale, using a traditional Southern European dry-curing process.

In 2020, The Cure partnered with locally owned and operated Taste Hospitality Group. You can find The Cure products at many local restaurants, markets and special events, and book The Cure for catering by contacting [email protected].

Best place to get cured meats in Saskatoon by far! Planning to entertain? Set up your charcuterie board here! Local ingredients, locally produced, locally made.

Tried a charcuterie take out box, usually I'm all over cured meats, cheese, and pickled stuff. Out of all the different meats and cheeses in there I kinda liked one of them. Mainly just really bad smelling meat like a dirty sock, pretty disappointing. Maybe I'm just not sophisticated enough for these, if you like this kind of stuff definately give it a go.

We ordered a charcuterie box (with cheese add-on) for our valentine's staycation. Everything comes nicely organized in a pizza box. Ordering through the website and pickup at Cohens was easy. We really enjoyed the meat and cheese selections - great variety and everything was very tasty. There was a small assortment of olives, pickles and pickled veggies sprinkled throughout. One area for improvement - would be great to include crackers beyond the pieces of baguette. If you like meat and cheese to be the star of your charcuterie then this is a great box for you!

Beautifully presented charcuterie trays (ordered two), excellent customer service (complicated pick up on Christmas eve), even walked the trays out to the car on the coldest day of the year (so far!). A great addition to our Christmas treats!
