The Convergence comprises four steel spires standing up to 6 meters tall, a 6.2 meter waterfall entitled “The Braid”, a bronze band of text drawn from the historical record, and hedgerows of native s grub planting. The total work defines the eastern threshold of the Victoria Promenade, and is the featured sculptural element of the half-kilometre long park along Edmonton’s North Saskatchewan River Valley. The Convergence embodies a convergence point for people; for water; for the Cory and nature; for earth and sky.
