★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The producers that developed Gears 4 and Gears 5 were way too focused on their careers than shipping a great game. Way too often, senior producers (at the time) and now "production directors" took credit for their direct reports' work without acknowledging them. I witnessed a senior producer setting up 1:1 meetings with the intentions of collecting information to justify a termination of an employee. Aside from poor management, the rest of the talented team are inspiring and fun to work with. It's just too bad that the majority of the good people left.
To the producer, who now works at Timbre Games: Be kind and have more empathy towards other people. I witnessed you making hurtful comments after terminating an employee and being proud of it because you made them cry. There was a reason why you weren't well liked by the people "beneath you".
