★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Cool environment. There was a great live band playing when I went there. Met some people that were staying at the hostel which was really fun. Limited beers on tap, but still some good options.
Space is pretty small

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A gem in the lower church street area. Great atmosphere, good tunes, live music, karaoke that doesn't suck. A good mix of locals and international travelers. Very social place. Amazing prices on drinks and food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited this pub when staying in HI Toronto hostel. The breakfast was really amazing, one of the best I had in any hostel. The lunch and dinner options were not as good, but still good for that value. The place can be little noisy at night, but it's nice to meet new people from around the world.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went on karaoke night. It was a lot of fun. A really chill and friendly atmosphere. Nice drinks menu. Really enjoyed they're drinks. Will be going back, with friends, and will probably see about staying at the hostel its underneath.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Cavern is a small basement level hipster bar in Downtown Toronto. Prices for beer are between 7 to 8 dollars, and taxes are included in the prices, so what you see is what you pay. Bring cash and speak up when ordering your drinks because it can get quite busy in the evenings. New music acts play here on a regular basis, often for a 5 to 15 dollar show. It is a venue for the North by Northeast Music festival. A good place to go for a cold drink and some good music.
