They repaired a blind for me. The fix was good, the service was not so good. That aside, I broke a valence clip and called them to see if they had the same and if I could purchase it. I was asked to email a picture so they could confirm, so I did. The next day I called them again and speakign with the same paerson, ask if they even received the email. She claimed not to have received the email, however, a few seconds later she located it and said yes, they have the clips. I asked to confirm the size (2 1/2" with touch points at 2 1/8") and she said yes. I ased if she was positive (because she didn't leave the phone to check) and I told her its a long drive in. She said positive because another customer just bought some the other day. When I came in - a 40 minute drive, the woman I that greeted me looked at the photo and went into the back room and came back with a 3 1/2" clip. I said, that's not the right size. She went back and came back with a 3" clip and I said, that's not the right size. I asked her for a tape and we measured and I showed her what 2 1/2" is, and where the touch points 2 1/8" would be, and showed why her clips were too large. She said "we don't have them". Respectfully I said I'm not one for complaining but .. and reiterated the communication/picture exchange and the length of time it took me to get there. She looked blankly at me as if to say " ... and..." so I just turned to walk out. Then a surly fella with a headset on and that was not part of our conversation chirped out "Have a Nice Day!" as he walked out a back door. I turned and asked if he was being sarcastic and he said " no, everyone should have a nice day" as the door closed behind him. Likely the manager given the other reviews about him. I would've left it alone but he demonstrated a clear lack of respect and appreciation for his clientelle's time, to a level wherein he wanted me to know he had that lack of respect and appreciation. Why would anyone go there knowing he doesn't give a sh*t.

Stay way from The Blind Doctor!! We brought in our Hunter Douglas Blinds to replace the pull string. When we were called they were ready for pick up they informed us they had to replace 2 slats but the issue was there was no broken slats when we dropped it off. We ask why they didn't inform they needed to replace anything else they had no answer for that, we than asked to see the broken slats but they werent able to so it became very suspicious. They added the cost of the slats to our bill but eventually took them off the bill when our questions couldn't be answered than after looking at the blinds they used a different color other than what the blinds were. They said to take the blinds and they would find the matching color and or closest to it but after visits, calls and messages left for the owner after over a months we were ignored. We had a letter from the owner saying they would fix the issue but that does nothing cause it appears they don't care. Good luck to anyone that chooses to use them.

Excellant service. Repairs to HD blind was done on time at a resumable cost.

Horrible service. Left multiple calls and emails. They responded once, said they would get back to me and never did. Left 2 follow-ups and no response. Must be nice to be a business in the middle of a pandemic and not need business. Would not recommend!

The service provided by The Blind Doctor over the past several years that we have dealt with them has been excellent. Recently Lee, the owner, contacted Hunter Douglas about a warranty issue and in the process the resolution of the matter exceeded our expectations.

the staff was nice a professional. a bit of a wait though. However, I came in to have my hunter douglas blinds re-strung and they gave me short string which I have to extend myself to the fullest when opening and the string twists which mean in closing I have to pull the blinds at the bottom at the same time as releasing the string. uuuggh

I don't write reviews, but had a negative and scam-like experience with Blind Doctor so people are aware. Went in to get blinds cut and signed for a X price (I am not explicitly stating how much here, but was few hundred dollars). After a while, got a response from Blind Doctor saying the blinds were finished, but some strings on the blinds were replaced without first notifying me and they increased the final payment by almost 50%. I checked the signed document for any mention of changing the final payment or whatever on their own accord without first asking the customer, but couldn't find anything. I went into the store to ask about this additional 50% increase payment and I believe the manager/supervisor came immediately and says to compromise with 25% increase in payment, not 50%. In the end, this situation was resolved with ~15% increase in payment. Now, I haven't been to too many places that work with blinds, but it would make sense to me if the company first informs the customer that they will be additional work that needs to done (which would also mean additional costs). But for some reason, Blind Doctor chose to finish all my blinds first and then put in additional costs without first informing me. This felt like a big scam, especially when the additional costs was around 50% of the original payment (and zero communication of the additional costs) and if I were aware of the total cost, I would have reconsidered coming here to get my blinds cut.

We brought our blinds (from Mars Blinds, at their recommendation) here for repair; the string was torn. The Blind Doctor initially indicated it would take 8-14 days to repair. We called after 15 days (didn’t hear anything) and were told initially that they couldn’t find our blinds (they initially thought they were lost!!) eventually the blinds were found and repaired by almost the end of the third week. We went in for pick up to find that they replaced the grey string with white (not great, aesthetically you would think they would try to match the other strings on the blind that were grey; so now one white and one grey string). All not the end of the world, but I feel you should expect more from a business (better customer service, order tracking, and simply effort to make the finished product look good). I would look elsewhere for repair.
