The room was extremely DIRTY.. there was dirt up the wall....the chairs were stained..and one had food stuck to it..all the linens were stained ...I felt dirty after our stay. Considering we are in a pandemic and things are suppose to be sanitized and cleaned to a certain protocol ..it was really concerning...our room was clearly not cleaned so only going to assume it was not sanitized properly . Do not stay here, save your money ..and go to a hotel that actually cleans their rooms

The room was very clean, the beds were very comfortable, and the building was quiet, great for sleeping. The Inn is located a short distance from Bayfield, easy to get to the beach or local amenities. In the morning, the front desk staff was kind enough to give us all bottles of water for the day’s journey, just wish they served breakfast.

Stayed here 2 nights July 2021. Love curry but this inn smelled of curry 24 hours a day. On our second night when the rain came down, it poured onto one of our beds through the ceiling. We were moved with all our luggage to another room that had a great big mould patch in the middle of the ceiling. I was never so glad to leave. No compensation or apologies were offered. I will never stay here again. BEWARE.

We had a good stay, the location is very good, the inn is clean and the staff is helpful and friendly. All communication was via text and they were very quick to reply and provided everything we needed. I was just a bit disappointed with the fact they were not providing housekeeping. They say it’s still because of COVID, but the province had already opened up, so I don’t see a reason not to do it. We stayed for a week and eventually they agreed to do it once in the middle of the week.

My solo 3 night stay was a blessing. Just perfect. The Ashwood has an Indoor pool, fire pits, short trails in and around woods, a grassed volleyball court, snd plenty of room to roam. Service is above and beyond! Absolutely Beautiful spacious rooms. I couldn’t even hear the TVs or music or active children and family in the next rooms. Comfy beds and pillows I have not ever experienced before. ( I am very particular). It’s a wonderful retreat from β€œ the norm”. I was more than pleasantly surprised. 1.0 km from the river. 1.5 km from the lake, the beach, the marina, and the incredibly beautiful Main Street village of Bayfield. On premise tandoori dining or regular fare by the bridge. I will definitely return. Thank you Ashwood Family.

Our stay at the Ashwood Inn was lovely. It was just what is needed for a quick weekend getaway. Comfortable, clean rooms, awesome pillows & super kind staff. Location is ideal as the town of Bayfield is a 3 minute drive or 20 minute walk just along Bluewater Highway. Thank you so much. My one suggestion might be to have instructions for the TV/Cable, unless there is no cable because then that would make sense as to why we couldn't see a cable TC guide lolol. No biggie at all :) We are grateful to have discovered the Ashwood Inn and will be sure to tell family & friends about it! It must be tough during the pandemic to make ends meet - especially as a hotel owner in a lockdown!! So we really hope to see you guys when we come back! Cannot wait to try the restaurant and the pool next time - when it isn't a lockdown. All the best & thanks again for a great stay.

The bed was so uncomfortable, it dipped in the middle. If you like baseball, well the pillows are as hard as the bases. The floor was freezing cold! When they did finally open the pool, it was ice cold! This is not a place we will revisit, or recommend to our friends.

Scheduled a venue tour to potentially have our wedding here. Wedding coordinator Jaclyn had set up a specific time and date and confirmed that date with us via email. Drove 2 hours 45 mins to the location, only to be told by front desk staff that Jaclyn was not in today and hadn't mentioned the tour at all. We were offered an apology and told that staff/management had no idea we'd be coming today. Staff attempted to reach the coordinator with no luck. Complete waste of time and gas money. Staff offered to show us around but they do not coordinate weddings so would be unable to provide any information pertaining to the actual event we wanted to book. Terrible communication between the wedding coordinator and staff/management. Coordinator would reply late at night, sometimes days later with single word responses and unprofessional tone. We excused this unprofessionalism because we wanted to view the venue and liked the potential. However, clearly the left hand (staff and management) doesn't know what the right hand (Coordinator) is doing and they don't seem to care. Do not plan an event here, their coordinator is forgetful, careless, and not communicative. I can only imagine what our wedding would be like had we actually employed the services of this venue and their "coordinator." Edit to reply to owner: I indicated in my review that we were offered a tour however we promptly declined. As I stated in my review, we were told that the person offering the tour was not the coordinator and could not answer any questions regarding the coordination of our wedding. Why would we waste another 30 mins of our time and yours by taking a tour of a venue whos staff did not properly book our appointment and cant answer our questions? Your coordinator failed to meet the lowest of standards by simply being at the appointment we booked. How are we to trust your venue for the most important day of our lives when your coordinator ghosted us? Management offering us a tour when we wouldnt even be able to get any answers to the questions we'd be asking is irrelevant. Also, to apologize for a miscommunication and then add "if there was any" is extremely off-putting and you're diminishing the situation. Are you implying there WASNT a miscommunication? We showed you the email communications between us and the coordinator you employ. Is Jaclyn not the coordinator for your venue? Did we not drive 3 hours for an scheduled tour that didn't happen. Did your coordinator not book that tour and not show up or even book it in your system. You literally didn't have any idea we were coming. But Jaclyn confirmed. So in what way is that NOT a miscommunication. Your reply to my review is laughable and doesnt answer any of the issues or explain why your coordinator booked us, knowing we were coming from almost 3 hours away, and never showed up and couldnt be reached. Thanks for the offer to tour again but unfortunately we aren't made of money or time to spend on another trip to your venue, nor would we expect that you or your coordinator would even be there to guide the tour. Even if they were, this experience has soured our view of your venue and we could not possibly trust or rely on your coordinator or staff to provide the service we expect on our wedding day.
