We drove to this place from Ottawa for a family activity and I would not recommend this place to anyone. It is quite small and overpriced for what is there. We went here on a Sunday and this place was so overcrowded that you could not really even enjoy seeing the few things that were there. Some of the creatures looked like they were in very small enclosures that looked almost sad to see them restricted to such a small space. I would also not recommend this place to anyone in a wheelchair. My daughter uses a wheelchair due to a medical condition and it was very difficult to move it around in this place. One of the staff wanted us to leave the wheelchair in their office so we could reach one of the overcrowded exhibits! I would not bother with the video that they play on the 4th floor. They make the map look big but everything is really just on the third floor.

Very fun and interesting place to visit with the kids , went there with my 18 months son and we had a blast. Was offered to pet a little crab by the very friendly and nice members of the staff , and saw Justin the beaver walking through the hallways at the end of the day. The place is not big , so plan for an hour - hour an a half.

Enjoyed our visit and had fun. It's not a big aquarium but it's packed with theme installations, interactive displays, educational activities, they do show and tells with living creatures. I'd say best suited to kids 3-7 years old. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Definitely will be coming back for another visit when a kid is a bit older. Oh otter snack time is 11.30am and 2.50pm, otherwise they will be napping.

Took the kids (9&almost5) for a fun drive down here and absolutely worth the 1.5hrs there and back! It's not huge, but there were so many things for them to find (like the hidden staircase into the HMS Ontario!). We spent over 2hrs exploring. However I have to give a special shout out to the staff. They. Were. Amazing. Filled with knowledge, super accommodating, really patient with the kids... They really made the visit special! Loved it!

Interesting place for young children, maybe some preschoolers, kindergarten kids. Wasn’t all that engaging for my 3 year old. She enjoyed the aquarium on the main floor, the turtles, and the water tables. Disappointed that the sand table wasn’t available to play with. Wind wall on the 4th level was interesting but again, not super engaging. This was our first visit but it seemed a bit sparse (like that theatre area - what’s that used for ?) Building is a bit confusing and could have better directions. Not overly big as well and can be crowded especially when the shows are happening. Wish tickets were a bit cheaper. Staff is enthusiastic and passionate about their work, it seemed. Overall, we will not make that 4hour drive to Brockville for this again.

Brockville is a small community and despite that they are fortunate to have a clean and family friendly aquariums. Don't set your expectations too high as if it were a world renowned aquarium, because it is not. However, there are lots of interactive live displays, educational tours and it is a nice place to spend a few hours. I liked going to the aquarium and recommend others to go there as well especially if you are visiting the area. If you like my reviews, photos or videos scale your fin up.

This was a pit stop on our road trip. We weren't expecting something big, and yes, indeed, the Aquatarium is pretty small. However, it is so perfectly created, with enormous attention to details. It was a pleasure to spend here an hour or so. There is a place for kids to play and give some energy away. And you can also watch β€œshows” - feeding time for animals. Super welcoming and friendly staff, they all acted as we were guests in their house. Souvenir shop, the cafe at the corner and a restaurant on the second floor.

Geared for younger crowd. My kids are 8 and 11 and they were bored. Drove an hour to be there for the 1 o'clock entry. We left for 130. We did not see any of the shows so not able to comment on those. However my daughter did get to see the mermaid. Who was fantastic with interacting with the crowd as well as individuals taking pictures with her.
