The Township of Terrace Bay is now accepting applications for the position of CASUAL MAINTENANCE CARETAKER at the Terrace Bay Community Centre. This position involves working in the recreation facilities, which include vacation and sick day relief.
Position: Casual
RATE OF PAY: In accordance with the Collective Agreement, the salary for this position is:
Start: $20.78/hour 6 months: $25.25/hour 1 year: $29.71/hour
Start Date: ASAP – July 11, 2022

It is fairly long sandy beach in a cove. The water seems to be quite a bit warmer here than in other places along Lake Superior.
There is a boat launch here.
There is a beautiful brand new building here that is being leased by Parks Canada and Parks Canada staff are available to answer questions and educate the public. This building has a covered picnic area and public washrooms.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A nice little beach right at the edge of town. There is amble parking and many people camp there overnight as they are passing through.
If you do plan on camping, remember there are no services or power. There are a couple of decent outhouses.
Make sure you checkout the beautiful waterfall right there. It's fantastic.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love this place, I stop here on my way through every time, it's commonly a place where travelers stop for the night, it's posted that your not suppose to but it's not particularly enforced, just be out early! I can't see anyone griefing you if it's a driving safety concern.
