They provide language and culture lessons for children and youth and serve as a community hub for the families whose children attend. With so few Japanese language schools in Vancouver, we're very lucky that that this one is so warm, welcoming, and community minded. Without Joyous and JEC, many newcomers to Canada would be missing the support system that they need to successfully settle in a new country.
