I have been contacting TD Waterhouse Transfer Department after faxing some Transfer Authorizations to them. Yesterday, I was on hold for 26 minutes and and them left a message. Today so far I am on hold for 50 minutes so far...I don not know for how long I need to hold and how can I get hold of someone just to know the status of Transfer requests...Very irresponsible and unprofessional!

Completely mindblowing that they can even remain in business, the way they operate. maybe if all you ever do is just make a trade once a year and watch your money grow, they'd be okay. but may the good Lord help you if you ever need to talk to them about ANYTHING. It's not even about the hold times (though they are bad). I have horror stories of how incredibly, inexplicably painful it was to go through the estate process with them, and how forms we submitted would repeatedly get lost and have to be resubmitted, they have a stupid authentication protocol, they don't do anything right, they don't do things they say they will do, they lock you out of your accounts for ridiculous reasons, they don't set you up properly to see the accounts online that you're supposed to, etc etc etc etc.

This bank has absolutely terrible service, and despite making millions of dollars per year, they can't seem to hire enough agents to pick up the phone and help clients . I have been on hold for a total of 3 hours (so far) today because they locked me out of my investment account. On the first call I was told it was because my address was incorrect --a simple phone call from them would have sufficed-- I gave them the correct address even though I had given it to them previously, and I was told my account would be unlocked within a few minutes. Hours later and thousands of dollars in losses my account was still locked and I could not trade. Still sitting on hold for second call (2 hours now) ... if they ever do answer, I will be moving my account to another bank asap. If you are a serious investor stay away from this bank.

Being a retired TD employee of over 40 years of service, I took great pride in our level of customer service, TD Direct Investing has frustrated me beyond belief. I began calling on Thursday. On the phone at 8 am sharp to automatically be placed on hold for 2 hours. Tried twice again Thursday to no avail. Again on Friday, 3 more calls, Monday 3 calls, and today, my 3rd call. That adds up to 24 hours of sitting on hold. I am quite ill and am in need of the funds that are available to me. A simple transaction which cannot be done online. Not sure what the issue is, but if this continues they will lose me as a client.

TD direct invest frustrated me in all aspects. Starting from opening an account that took more than 1 month to be opened. Calling customer service last more than 2 hours. Customer support lack of competence and contradict each other for minor problem resolving. Setting price limit does not work sometimes for unknown reason. I sent complaints to TD direct invest via email and call and I did not get any response. The quality is like third world service and maybe third world have much better customer support service. I never expect such a service from any bank in Canada. I hope things will be changed for better but I doubt as I never receive any reply to my emails to their management.

The worst investment firm in the world. I lost 9% of my hard working savings in 2 days with the TD mutual funds. No one ever made any money from TD investment in the history.

TD Direct Investing had enough time to match the National Bank or Disnat pricing but didn't. I called TD and they are not planing to give commission free. I moved my account to National bank brokerage. National Bank has started zero commissions for stocks and Etfs. Completely zero commission. It is amazing, fast executions, good platform, way more features and all that is being offered zero commissions. I regret not switching my account to NBDB as soon as they announced zero commission. It doesn't matter whether you day trade, swing trade or investment the commissions will add up over times. Thanks to NBDB and Disnat for being the first to bringing commission free opportunity in Canada. I recommend everyone to try NBDB or Disnat. You will not regret.

My TD Direct Investing account are lock for more than one month so that I cannot make any transaction (placing stock trading) nor being transferred to another bank. Whenever I called, I had to wait for more than 1 hour and never be connected to any staff. Once connected, I was told that all my accounts were transferred but it never happened again and again for another week and week. TD is still holding all my accounts without any reason. when calling again and again, the call transferred to an automated promo ad tens of minutes and hung up. Extremely frustrated. I would sue this company for holding my money without any legitimate reasons too long. NEVER use this TD !!!
