I used TD ever since I was a kid, but in recent years its general quality of service has been eroded away by its own menagerie of careless and incompetent employees (perhaps a consequence of nepotism and cronyism in the hiring process). They often made erroneous records, for example, about your tax and citizenship status, and then somehow claimed that you made the errors yourself and that they will report your account to the CRA if you don't correct the errors [that they made]. They even made an error in one of their business mails so that they had to re-sent it to me with the corrections: unprecedented negligence at a preposterous scale. These trolls should've been fired.

I was put on hold for almost two hours, to be exactly, it was 1 hour 52 minutes 34 seconds as my phone told me. Finally, I thought someone answered, but it was a recorded message telling me to call again! Should I call TD again?????

Oh my, how I hate banks (TD in particular) - even after working for them my whole career, up to VP level. I've banked with TD with a mortgage (discharged); LOC (secured); LOC (unsecured); VISA; multiple other accounts for many years. My credit rating was about 800. I recently applied for a LOC (unsecured) which they REJECTED because my wife froze one of our accounts (currently separated). It boggles my mind how narrow minded and adverse banks are, even with someone with an excellent credit rating and a long history banking with them. They take huge gambles on the market and with large companies for multi millions/billions but can't seem to offer good customers a break in hard times ! Note, individual customers did not break the financial system - remember who did ? Needless to say, TD is not going to get any more business from me and I don't recommend them to anyone anymore. All my accounts will be moved to more respectful financial institutions.

A view of the Financial District buildings including TD Trust Tower in the middle. (Tallest building completed in Toronto in the 1990s) -The Financial District is the central business district of Downtown Toronto, Ontario. -It is the most densely built-up area of Toronto, home to banking companies, corporate headquarters, high-powered legal and accounting firms, insurance companies and stockbrokers. -The bank towers and much else in Toronto's core are connected by a system of underground walkways, known as PATH, which is lined with retail establishments making the area one of Toronto's most important shopping districts. -It is estimated 100,000 commuters enter and leave the financial district each working day.

Closing someone's account without their knowledge and then we wasting time in returning their calls during covid. They wasted my time waiting for a response and close my credit cards without my knowledge. I'm stuck in bed because of an accident and can't walk right now so it's hard for me to get to the branch to deal with this. Is this how a bank should treat a customer?

Four phone calls and 8 HOURS later COULD NOT get through a representative all day yesterday! Called first thing this morning, on hold for one hour, was advised to use the β€œCONTACT US” feature and click on Direct Investing and no number comes up when clicking β€œCONTINUE CALL” and when logging in to call, the 1800 number is followed by a dozen or so other numbers and won’t connect the call. GET IT TOGETHER, TD’s phone service is DEPLORABLE!

This bank acts like kids. They don't do something and when you complain, they LIE. I am not joking, they lie, and that is also a manager. Now in 3-months, I am trying written response and no one wants to give one. I think they can't find someone mature enough to give a response. Then these kids know that there is nothing anyone can do. Big and powerful. Just to respond to a concern, they don't want to after they have found that their manager lied. Office of the President started to listen and the person went on maternity leave and the bank that makes billion has no one to take over the concern. Keep it up TD Millbourne Mall, Edmonton, Alberta

This bank definitely likes to rip off its customers. They make up extra charges it seems every month, and nobody seems to know who you should talk to when you call and ask about it. Every employee I’ve talked to acts as if I’m lucky they even let me keep my money at their bank. This would be my first place I’d go if I wanted to be treated like I wasn’t worth a cent.
