TBC General Contracting - Medicine Hat

We were so pleased to be able to find the perfect contractor for the completion two very important renovation projects to our home in Medicine Hat.  Having had various home renovations completed in the past (some rather unsuccessful I might add) we were determined to find a contractor who would lead us through the process with the least amount of stress and effort on our part.  From the very first meeting with Ryan (project manager), regarding an almost complete basement renovation, he put us at ease and applied no pressure to use their services.  An initial quote and timeline were provided based on our planned updates and changes.  A more detailed projection of cost, with more emphasis on specific areas, was again submitted to us for agreement should we wish to proceed.  I will stress, that to this point in the planning process, we were not obligated to proceed whatsoever. With our acceptance and reassurance from TBC that we would be fully informed of any issues, changes or recommendations that may arise during the renovation, the project began.  The scope included; research of city permit requirements; demolition of most walls and ceilings; expanding rooms; insulation; wiring; lights; new gas fireplace; built-in bookcases; new flooring throughout; tiling and a complete bathroom upgrade.  During the process, TBC was always available and most particularly during the planning and coordination of the sub-trades while on site. I might add, that this renovation in no way restricted our home access and daily living.  In every way, the smooth transition of our basement continually amazed us.  TBC also provided design and fixture recommendations (primarily by Andrea) which were in every instance, the perfect solution. The overall project, which included some additions at our request, was completed significantly under both the projected dollar estimate and projected timeline.  TBC fully satisfied our three necessary requirements; confidence, cost and completion. We gained complete confidence in their professional approach to the project (at all levels); the provision of all cost breakdowns before and after the fact (including sub-trades) and continual updates on the project timings were reassuring, to say the least.  They created a beautiful and complete updated living area which was our ultimate plan when the project began. The confidence gained from our initial TBC basement project gave rise shortly thereafter to a vision for a main floor kitchen area complete renovation.  Being familiar with the key personnel, who would also be involved in our kitchen planning, made the TBC selection as a contractor even easier.  Again, a similar process of cost, planning and timing estimates were provided much to our complete satisfaction.  Ryan managed the overall project, and Andrea provided excellent assistance in design/layout, product recommendations and fixtures.  We were overwhelmed by the quality of work and eventual outcome.  TBC gave us the perfect, open access kitchen, with fixtures and countertops second to none.  This project, as with the basement renovation, also allowed us to remain in the home with minimal disruption to our daily living.  This project came in under cost projections and met all timing elements originally programmed. TBC General contracting is truly a professional organization with very professional and motivated personnel.  If you want all areas of your planned project clearly identified up front and have an excellent contractor complete the project on your behalf, then we highly recommend TBC.
