Awesome community! Completely run according to scripture. This community is Yah fearing and exactly what we were looking for!

This is a warm community that really puts an emphasis on the Believer's family. We are also able to learn a lot about the healthy and unhealthy traditions of the mainstream church and Jewish religion.

I was searching for a place to attend on the seventh day Sabbath that teaches from the Holy Scriptures - from Genesis to Revelation. Not only did I find such a place, but a very warm, welcoming, family atmosphere that treats all its guests with love and respect.

My mom suffered multiple strokes while she was fighting stage IV ovarian cancer in 2013. Shortly after her ordeal, she found Talmidei. She was already in early stages of vascular dementia, as a result of her strokes, and was having trouble with complex tasks, such as paying bills, etc. (she could still feed and dress herself). Although this fellowship is small, it is networked with a number of similar fellowships. Through events with this "church," she met a very nosey person who ended up being her neigbour. The "elders" at this church will tell you this person is not part of their fellowship, although they are close family friends with the elders, and their similar but separate organizations meet for events regularly. This person, despite only knowing my mom for less than a couple of years, managed to get a former employer of hers (Castle Lawyers) to list her as a power-of-attorney, as well as two elders from this organization. They knew my mom less than 3 years at this point. While this was happening, a new member of their organization, who I believe is disturbed, began taking advantage of the fact that my mom was not well. That person has now been living rent-free in my mother's house for most of the last year. Within a few months of meeting my mom, he had tried to liquidate her assets. He verbally abused her via texts (police and I both have proof if this). He constantly tried to "help" my mom and the church foster deals where he would be able to take advantage for free (i.e. he wanted to rent out a unit for the church to meet on Sabbaths and holy days, and then he'd have a workshop to run a business free during the week; he also wanted to race my deceased step-dad's car on a race track so, he could make extra cash, a plan I apparently ruined). I warned the church that these things were going on and they did nothing to protect my mom, who is a vulnerable, disabled senior. Instead, they did the things above, pushed me out as her power-of-attorney (which I have been since I was 18, renewed when she remarried, and then renewed again when she became ill). They disregarded the instructions of her actual lawyer, and found a lawyer friend of their own. Medically, all the evidence is there to undo what was done, however, my finances are closely tied to my mom's and we both don't have the means to undo this legal mess. We got the police involved but the elders groomed my mom into what to say during her statement, and she showed up at the police station FLANKED by two elders, who painted me in a poor light to police. At that point, they had known us about 3 years only. As I write this today, the members of this church have known my mom a little over 3 years. Three of their members are living in her home. Two aren't paying market-value rent, and one is the person above, who has lived there rent-free. Keep in mind, my mom HAS DIAGNOSED VASCULAR DEMENTIA. So... Sure, if you want to attend a church full of people who don't gather facts before they act. Go here. If you want to attend a church who protects predators, just because they're of the same faith. By all means, attend this organization. And since one of the people "isn't part of this organization" then, I'd look out for organizations they also associate with. They are like the worst kinds of "nosey neighbours" x100. ORIGINAL POST: I'd call them the life-ruining church. They are all kind and pleasant people mostly, but some of them sure like to stick their noses in people's personal business when they barely know them. They also don't protect widows from predators. Please rename your fellowship to "We ruin lives fellowship." It's more appropriate.

Being new to Toronto I found the Talmidei Yeshua community to have an open and interactive setting which is friendly to newcomers. The scriptures are at the center of the teachings - which is what is really important to me. Stay after the service and enjoy the fellowship meal and discussions!

Talmidei Yeshua Fellowship is a great community! They welcome you with open arms and invite you to become part of the family. The elders are so approachable and open. The word is always great and I always leave spiritually filled!

I had the pleasure to join this fellowship. They treat you very kind, they greet newcomers and even let them eat first after services is done. They also teach the true foundation of the bible. I could say more but it would be a novel when I'm done. I reccomend if your truly searching for an true foundation fellowship and a convicting word I would suggest come to Talmidei.
