Were given a bill at the end that was 70% higher then their estimate with zero consideration. I would never use a company that conducts themselves like this again. Save yourself time and a lot of money and avoid this business.

We were given the excuse of their truck broke down, then the excuse of the CVSE pulling their truck off the road. We were left without a mover to meet our departure deadline. Really unacceptable. I would not recommend using this company. There are many more movers that can be used. Don’t waist your time with this one.

I contacted Take A Load Off due to their positive reviews. Initially they were very supportive and I greatly appreciated that they could assist us during the difficult time for our family. I explained what I was shipping and they assured me they could professionally package it for shipping via FedEx. The worker who arrived at the house was very nice. He wrapped each piece in what appeared to be a professional manner. Unfortunately I did not supervise the work. After he left I picked up a box to move it to the garage and I heard the sounds of china breaking. I opened the box and noted that it was only half full and no packing material had been placed in the box to secure the items resulting in a broken item. I ended up going to Staples and purchasing much more packing material / boxes and re-did everything. I called the company the next morning and was assured that they would process an insurance claim. Follow up was always "we're waiting to hear from our insurance company" and now they have stopped responding to my enquiries.

James, Tommy, and Joseph made a stressful move incredibly easy and worry free; everything was handled with care, carefully moved, and done with efficiency and speed. I especially appreciate the guys trying their best to haul my large couch up four flights of stairs to try and get it to the 4th floor. Trust me, a small doorway won’t stop these guys! My husband, and I can’t thank you enough! Highly recommend!

It was nice working with a company knowing how the system worked. Lots of paperwork but very organized. I can see it being abit confusing for those who don’t take the time to read the agreement, overall great experience. We had them move my in-laws. 100% recommend

Megan in the office was helpful answering any questions and I was able to buy most of my moving boxes from their Townsite Road address. On my moving day, Brian and Nick were hard-working, efficient, and helpful. They went the extra mile making a quick stop at my storage locker and even laying down cardboard to cover a stain on the locker floor. I was pleased, too, that my move came in slightly under budget. After my nearly eight-hour move, including a nearly two-hour drive one way, they had another move scheduled putting some pressure on them. Despite that, they did not rush me and patiently worked the entire time. They helped make a stressful day easier, which was greatly appreciated.
