β β β β β I've been around music most of my life, from being forced to play the piano at 4 years old to graduating with honours from music college to rocking stages with a cover band, but in all those years I would never expect to see myself writing rave music. For a long time, I had been curious about EDM producing but never knew where to start, not to mention a lot of the musicians I hung around looked down on EDM as "not real music" (I can spend hours talking about what that is not so).
One day, I found out about TableTutors and as soon as I knew they offered production classes, I called them up to book a tour of the school and meet some of the instructors. I was initially skeptical seeing that most of the academy was heavily focused on hip hop music, but then I was introduced to Ted and found out he is also really into EDM. One month of classes later, I have now written two songs in that genre and am having so much fun with it. No regrets!
Now when I watch videos of DJs playing at Tomorrowland, A State of Trance, Privilege Ibiza etc, I am not just thinking "this is good music". I am thinking "that lead's got a lot of high ends" and "that sounds like a low pass filter sweep there."

β β β β β This place is amazing. Been wanting to start djβing again with proper knowledge of the basics and their foundations program got me right on track. The community is awesome. So welcoming. Teachers/mentors super helpful and so patient. My favourite place to be and am always excited to come and learn/practice in this space. I recommend this to both kids and adults interested in learning or sharpening their skills.

β β β β β Since attending Table Tutors as an adult student I have had nothing but encouraging, enjoyable and quality experienceβs. It is truly a business that opens its arms to anyone with a passion for music at any skill level. They embrace you into the DJ community. Your success is their success. You are also truly learning from THE BEST DJβs Vancouver has to offer. If you are at all interested for yourself or someone you know, I highly recommend taking an introduction course/join in on one of the workshops or catch Table Tutors at one of their many events :)

β β β β β First of all, thank all the staffs who keep the community work well and always having a warm hug for newbies ( thatβs also my self newcomer in BC). Iβm glad to become a student at school! Being live in a second country and learn how to adapt to Canadian culture in common and DJ culture differently than I used to know. I hope the school will have more students and faculty to help everyone who is interested in music!

β β β β β This is an awesome and dynamic business. The staff are all amazing, friendly and professional yet there is no heir of formality at all... it is a great casual and safe space.
The staff I spoke to, Nikki, was informative, helpful and very welcoming.
The spaces provided for group and one on one learning are great, there are several options for learning in different packages. The first intro session is only 80.00 and there are rooms for learning to make beats, for learning to produce and for learning in a small group, i think now that covid restrictions are lifting, that might be more of an option. I find it particularly compelling when a business offers a one time full intro price. its nice to have the ability to decide if its something you want to do before investing alot of money into the venture without knowing if you love it or not.
