About Szechuan Paramount Restaurant
The founder Ki Wong spent years accumulating his culinary experience internationally. When he was ready to start his own family, he decided to move back home to his beloved Edmonton. Edmonton is where his parents raised him and his 5 other siblings. Ki started his first restaurant in 1995 with 3 goals in mind: to share his passion and love of food, creating that warm feeling in your belly that only comes from a delicious a home-cooked meal, and being able to enjoy that great home-cooked meal with family.
After years of creating memories for numerous patrons and hearing numerous requests for more locations and access from those patrons, Ki has begun his expansion of quick-service locations to better serve these loyal patrons.
Nowadays you will still often see Ki at the restaurant, creating home-cooked meals with all the love people have come to expect. His love of food on full display: cooking, eating, and sharing alongside his family and extended restaurant family.

โ โ โ โ โ I ordered pork Chop Suey, beef with back bean sauce, honey garlic chicken had a taste of all three and was just awful. The chop suey was like a soup and mostly fat for pork, beef was tons of grizzle and the chicken was like mush. what chicken was in it I couldnโt even chew it was so hard. My family used to go to the buffet once a week and it was really decent, I will never eat here again! canโt see this place staying open much longer with food like that.absolutely a waste of money

โ โ โ โ โ I've ordered from here in the past and it was good but yesterday the food was a big disappointment. The food was not fresh nor hot and tasted like left overs. The shrimps were greecy with too much batter. The rice was undercooked and grainy. The ginger beef was overcooked and chewy. Mixed greens with beef was not fresh. Tao chicken was overcooked, chewy and did not taste like chicken. Lemon chicken was greecy.
Sweet and sour pork was ok.

โ โ โ โ โ We tried Szechuan Paramount for the first time today. Itโs going to be our new โgo-toโ for Chinese food! We ordered the dinner for 2, and were pleasantly surprised with that it came with rice and spring rolls, and that the portions were HUGE! It was also delicious! My husband canโt have certain veggies due to having Crohnโs disease. They followed our request not to include any veggies/garnish with the dishes and even added an extra note warning us about veggies being in the spring rolls. It probably only took a few seconds, but it felt like they went over and above. I was particularly happy, as it meant that I could eat alllll the spring rolls to myself!

โ โ โ โ โ Have been a customer for well over 20 years. The food is always good, hot on delivery and generous portion size. I only wish they would bring back the 6 individual onion cake option. Otherwise, can't go wrong with ordering here.

โ โ โ โ โ Absolutely disgusting. Ordered the deep fried shrimp. I've ordered from SP for the past 7 years. Generally the food is OK, but this was out of the ordinary. I would nor order deep fried anything from this place.
