Counter staff are always cordial and helpful. There are generally adequate positions open to deal with clients in a timely manner. I wouldn’t deal anywhere else

Closed? You weren't even letting customers/guests come close to the employees and making us use sanitiser the second we walk through the door and quizzed us whether or not we have been to an air port recently before we entered the building yet you guys close your doors while people still need to go to the bank during this pandemic. Shame

Synergy Credit Union has horrible customer service. November 23rd 2019, I tried to go in to the bank to get bills in exchange for a bunch of change saved up. As I walked in I was told the change machine was broken by the front desk receptionist. I thanked her for letting me know and asked if there was any possible way the bank tellers could give me bills for the change. All she did was say no and walked away. What bank cannot give out bills for change? And they charge a ridiculous amount for banking fees. I highly recommend going with a bank that gives you, as a client more perks when banking with them. This is just one in many customer service fails.

Over the past year, I have dealt with Kimberly Wells at Synergy, Lloydminster, as the Executor of my mother's estate. Kimberly was a lifesaver, with the very best advice, and compassionate understanding throughout the entire process. She is very professional, prompt and friendly. Whenever I entered the branch, everyone was welcoming and very helpful. Some of the staff remembered my mother well.a I can't say enough good about Synergy Lloydminster!

I have been with Synergy for the 14 year mark (give or take) on Tuesday, Nov. 2nd 2021 I had went to pull some (fully available) funds to pay my rent. What I instead recieved was a slip saying declined & dispensed amount $0.00 BUT the funds where gone from my bank account.. My next step was to call the ATM company, I was advised that this was not an issue caused by them, rather, It was my banks side. My next step was to call my bank.. that was absolutely pointless. They had no idea where money went, nor did they notify me of what would be done to rectify this. Cool! I'm trying provide for my Family and this place loses my money and has no idea how or why and the worst part? No idea when I'll have it back... Money that I pay them to take care of. So I call weds. (Mid afternoon) might I add they made no attempt in reaching me to assure me they were working on this. Again.. a person with no answers as to where my money is. Weds. Evening I get a voicemail saying this will take them 15 DAYS to "investigate". DO NOT BANK HERE.

SEE UPDATE. I’d give negative stars if I could. Trying to get a pre-approval for a new mortgage and had to talk to 2 different people over 4 separate appointments to get the the full picture of where we are sitting and the last one, they were supposed to call us and forgot and a third person call because our file hadn't been updated. This was after going back and forth of being told one thing then the next time being told the opposite. So I'm still not 100% sure I know everything I need to know. At this point I might just pay the early payment penalty and be done with this terrible excuse for a banking institution. UPDATE- 8 months later and still trying to sell our house and because the market sucks we’re definitely not going to be able to sell for what we owe. Thankfully we have family that will help pay the difference and the longer the house is on the market the more we pay the mortgage down so it won’t be too bad. BUT Synergy has now given us 2 options to sell 1, involving them with every aspect of the sale including setting listing prices and what offers we will accept or 2, giving the house to CMHC and dealing with their lawyers. This was presented as if it were an ultimatum and we HAD to chose one option. Both option included not having to worry about any difference owing afterwards. They could not give us any info on how this would affect our credit and ability to apply for a new mortgage. We reached out to CMHC and they couldn’t figure out why the bank was telling us alot of this. AS SOON AS I SELL MY HOUSE I WILL NEVER DEAL WITH SYNERGY AGAIN!!! They can never give straight answers or basic information. How they stay in business is beyond comprehension.

Despite trying to look like a modern city plaza styled building, with it's coffee shop sign and big inviting entry, this building is absolutely not for the community; NOT a plaza for downtown, but only for Synergy customers, with cars! Just another bank inhabiting an oversized temple of architectural plagiarism which betrays the prominent city center land it's built on. So, I dunno guys. What does this city need for the lightbulb to finally turn on and motivate us enough to actually build a good city center that people actually want to go to? Because right now our city center is nothing better than a dirty highway lined by narrow sidewalks and dying stores, and those who are planning it's further development just want to build more of these unfriendly Synergy boxes on a sea of parking lots.
