Bass, Pike and Crappie are the main fish species in the lake. Mudcat and panfish are also plentiful in the shallows.
Near by is the newly renovated Sydenham Point a great place to take the kids swimming on a hot summers day or have a BBQ or picnic lunch by the waters edge.
Forgot the lunch?
Foodland also located near by carries everything you might need for a BBQ or a box lunch. Don't want to cook or make a lunch, they also have hot food to go at a reasonable price, stock up on snack foods too you might get hungry catching all those fish!
If your looking for a great day on or by the water I highly recommend Sydenham Lake's West end.
