Sweet Haven Barn - Huxley

I recently had my wedding here and I recommend this venue 100%. First of all, the barn and the scenery are beautiful. I had so many compliments on our wedding just because the barn is so stunning! What made our experience even better were Carl and Tanya, who are absolutely amazing and go out of their way to make sure you’re taken care of and you’re wedding goes off without a hitch! They’re amazing people and truly are invested in you and your wedding! They were around the whole weekend helping us when needed. The barn plus having the amazing service of Carl and Tanya makes this venue the ultimate spot for your dream wedding!!

Sweet Haven Barn is one of a kind, and so are the owners. The moment we walked into the barn for our tour/viewing in February 2020, we were instantly in love with the space and Carl & Tanya. We were in awe of how perfect every aspect of the venue was and how welcoming and personable Carl and Tanya were! As soon as Keenan and I left the barn after our tour we immediately said to each other "we have to get married here, this is the place". Throughout the whole planning process Carl and Tanya were so easy to communicate with and were very helpful. Having a wedding in such an uncertain time was definitely stressful but not once did we feel stressed when it came to dealing with the venue and Carl & Tanya. Our wedding weekend was so perfect. On the Friday we set up and had our rehearsal & dinner with our family/friends. Carl & Tanya not only were there to help with anything we needed but they also spent time getting to know our family and friends. The barn is so naturally beautiful it doesn't need much decor but it was great to have onsite rentals as well with Kreativ Accents to add a few touches that we didn't have. On the wedding day Carl & Tanya were around and available all day for any last minute questions we had about anything. Having an on site bridal suite for the girls to get ready in was amazing, its also sooo beautiful and it was a great place to have as a home base throughout the day. The boys loved having the loft for getting ready in as well. It was pretty special for us to hear from our guests how amazing the day was and how much they loved the venue but what truly shows what kind of venue this is, is that in all of our conversations with guests, they mentioned something about how wonderful Carl & Tanya were in any interactions they had with them - and we agree!! We couldn't have had a more perfect wedding at Sweet Haven and we can't wait to go back and visit. This place is so special and Carl & Tanya treat you like family. Sweet Haven Barn is one of a kind! The details that went into this venue are staggering. And believe me, I asked Carl & Tanya (the owners) a million questions! (lol) They were so hospitable, and helpful. I was part of an amazing wedding there this last season, and from the ceremony outside to the celebration inside ...it was an excellent experience! If you are looking to get away from it all and have a rustic wedding with style, elegant detail, and high end comfort ...this is the place for you!

We were here for a wedding on Saturday August 14 the venue was amazing and so well taken care of. Any one who wants a rustic farm house wedding I would highly recommend checking out this venue

A stunning, perfectly equipped, rural event venue about 1.5 hours northeast of Calgary. From a food and beverage standpoint the facility has everything required for caterers and bar staff to work efficiently for the execution of large scale events with over 200 guests. The owners are so accommodating and amazing to deal with as well! We look forward to our next event at sweethaven and highly recommend this venue to anyone for their wedding or event!

In love!!! This place is amazing, I loved every moment. I photographed many weddings here & this place is above average in ever way!!! All these photos were taken at the property! The owners are an absolute delight & wanted nothing more then to do anything they could for the bride & groom! I cant reccomend them enough!! They are the sweetest family

Finding the perfect wedding venue for the biggest day of your life is a near impossible task. Not so once you see Sweet Haven Barn, and meet the owners Tanya and Carl. We had numerous venues on our list to decide on, and there was no need to go past our second: Sweet Haven Barn. The Barn and adjoining property are idyllic, and the quality of the barn is self evident, there is not a more beautiful location. We loved that it was out of the city, away from the noise and people. It was very private. The Barn’s kitchen is stunning, and offers caterers a restaurant quality kitchen to work out of. More importantly, the proprietors bring a deep rooted care and concern for the success of your day, they become emotionally involved in your day’s success. There is not a higher recommendation we can give other than when you host your wedding at Sweet Haven, you are guaranteed a beautiful venue and owners invested in your success. Our guests raved about the venue and could not get over how beautiful it was. They loved that they could camp on-site for free! This made it more of a full weekend event. In the year and a half leading up to our wedding Tanya and Carl answered our dozens of questions extremely quickly and were so accommodating when we were considering postponing due to Covid. We used many of the vendor recommendations from Sweet Haven’s list and all were fantastic! They are picky about the vendors that they recommend and it shows! Tanya and Carl are special people- they truly make you feel like family. They had coffee ready to go for us on the wedding day and were so helpful when it came to giving tips for stringing lights, the barn layout, etc. The boys loved having a cigar in the ‘smoke shack’ and the girls and hair and makeup artists could not get over how beautiful the bridal suite was. It was the PERFECT day at the PERFECT venue. Thank you so much Tanya and Carl!!
