Sweet Elegance - Floral Design

A HUGE thank you to Connie with Sweet Elegance Floral for making my floral dreams come true!!!! Connie spent a lot of time making sure I got exactly what I wanted without making me feel like was being too “needy” or inconvenient. She took the time to figure out just exactly which flowers I liked and didn’t like. She also took the time to make me a mood board with the ideas and colour scheme she had in mind so I knew exactly what she was planning with no surprises. I am thoroughly impressed by her professionalism and eagerness to make my wedding day as perfect as can be. If I was to do my wedding day all over again, she would without a doubt be my number one choice!!! Thanks so much again!

There are not enough good things I can say about Connie! She did the florals for my wedding this past weekend and I was absolutely blown away. We had our consultation with Connie early last year where she helped us decide our floral colors and wedding vision. We ended up having to postpone our June wedding this year and through the whole process Connie was fantastic to deal with and extremely helpful. We finally got to have our wedding and when I arrived at the venue moments before the ceremony was the first time I saw the flower arrangements and the bouquets. Everything was gorgeous and above and beyond what I could have ever pictured. Connie is so creative and amazing at what she does. I'm so grateful to have had her as part of my team for my big day!

Admittedly, I didn't do much due diligence in terms of looking at Connie's or anyone else's reviews, I picked Connie because she was local to the area and I liked the bouquets on her website when I quickly glanced at them. The only thing I did in advance was sit down with another florist from my hometown (as I wasn't local to Kelowna, Vernon, or Lake Country) to take suggestions on what to ask a florist when you meet them. This step I highly recommend with anyone if you have the chance. I then sat down on Pinterest based on this meeting and pinned as many bouquets as my attention span and nerves could tolerate. I was told that eventually a pattern would emerge that would be beneficial to my potential florist to see. I owe a lot to this local florist. I count myself extremely fortunate to have met Connie. She was very attentive to my questions. She also offered great suggestions on how to improve an idea I had or what would be the best approach going forward as I basically no nothing about flowers. Connie also offered a nice congratulatory gift that I have since used several times. She's very thoughtful. She was also very good to my husband who did not share the same interest in flowers as I had. Additionally, Connie put together a really lovely and well thought out mood board, based on our conversations and some photos I had ready to go for her. This also enhanced my experience significantly. I then took the mood board to my other vendors (e.g. my hair stylist, my make up artist, rental company) so they could see what I was putting together and help tie pieces of the wedding celebration together as I'm not a creative gal. My other vendors also appreciated this step. Nothing is harder when you can't articulate your idea and nothing is easier when you can say, "can you do something that will match this idea?" I was warned that just because you see a picture of a floral bouquet, does not necessarily mean you will get that floral bouquet. This advice was from my hometown florist. However, Connie's work on my favourite picture that I gave her was the closest thing I had envisioned for my big day. I worked with probably a dozen or so vendors for the big day, and she executed it perfectly. I got way more than expected and I was really grateful for her dedication, time, and effort. Connie was also great in putting together a last minute addition for a recent floral girl addition, something I also highly appreciated as I was struggling to get everything in order. In summary, I highly recommend this florist and think the residents of Lake Country are very fortunate to have her as part of their business community. Thanks again Connie :)

Where do I begin with this wonderful woman ! A dream can only become reality when someone does the work to create it. Connie went above and beyond anything I could have ever asked for from her. She not only far surpassed my expectations as a wedding vendor but she also became a friend that I will surely cherish for a long time to come. Forever grateful to this beautiful and kind woman! Words will never be enough to express our gratitude to her.

We just had our wedding in July, and Connie went above and beyond my expectations for our wedding flowers. I was in awe when I saw the design she came up with. The arrangements were so elegant, on theme and carefully thought out. She is a true professional and will make your wedding a dream come true with any budget. She is amazing to work with and will do everything to make sure that your vision comes to life. Also, the flowers lasted for days after the wedding was done! Thank you so much for all your hard work and making our wedding that much more magical!

Connie was amazing! On our consultation meeting, I could tell that she is passionate about her work. She was thorough and detailed, and was considerate of the budget that I had provided. I sent her an inspo picture of a flower arrangement I loved, and on the day of, they turned out even better than expected! Punctuality is definitely important on the wedding day and bridal bouquets were delivered at the hotel and flowers to the venue on time. Her instructions for care were also clear. I am so happy I decided to book with Sweet Elegance.

Connie was absolutely amazing to work with and her florals were stunning - our guests were raving about how beautiful her arrangements were all night! At our initial consultation, she was extremely attentive and from that point on I was confident she would be able to execute on my vision flawlessly. I was right! Her work exceeded all of my expectations and I cannot believe how she was able to capture my vision so perfectly. She is professional, detail-oriented, and so so talented.
