★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I used Sweenie for a move in October 2019. I was charged 40% (~800$) more than the quote I was provided. I expressed concern to the driver who told me to call the company and that they would work with me.
I called the company and left a message for April Sweenie outlining my concern. She did not return my call. I called again a few days later and spoke with someone I think was named Denise - I was told she was in a leadership role. She told me my move had been larger than expected so we went through the contents of my house room by room so we could determine what was moved that would account for the discrepancy and might explain the 40% difference. She was unable to identify anything about my move that was unusual or could account for the difference between the quote and what I was charged. Still she declined to discuss bringing their charges more in line with their quote or offering any reduction at all as a good will gesture.
I asked if my experience was in any way outside their usual business practice and was told it was not. They declined to work with me on any resolution.
The move itself was accomplished reasonably; my items arrived undamaged and the crew were respectful of both myself and my belongings. However, had I known the quote was unreliable and the company would not honour it or work to find a compromise I would have chosen a different provider. I hope they’ve worked to resolve the issue.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sweenie is the best moving company I've ever dealt with. They are fast, on time, efficient and professional. I had them do a small move and a larger in town move for me. They moved over 20 glass display cases, including overnight storage, with absolutely no damage to any of them. I've used other movers and am often shocked at the condition of the equipment and the ratty appearance of their employees. Sweenie's trucks are clean and well kept, their gear is well maintained and their guys are wearing Sweenie shirts and look professional. Denise in the office is fantastic to deal with as well, I can't say enough about how good this company is. They are not the cheapest (they are also not the most expensive) but they are upfront about their costs and the peace of mind is worth it. They've earned a customer for life.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Denise the owner was super rude, aggressive and very argumentative doesn't listen and keeps yelling and interrupting . Went to pickup moving boxes warehouse person was also rude.
Charged 2 hours of travel time for a move from Esquimalt to view royal at $400. The estimate never included any details about travel time.most moving companies charge lower rate for travel time sweenie doesn't
Lots of breaks and stretched time. Same move cost me $500 the first time with a different moving company . Overpaid $1,379.61 with sweenie.for a one bedroom and office room 800 sq feet no couch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We would HIGHLY recommend Sweenie Moving Company and the service from Denise and James and their team! From start to finish the experience exceeded our expectations. The entire process was like clockwork, making the the whole process less stressful than expected. The estimator arrived at our meeting time promptly and was pleasant and accommodating. We received our quote and a moving date within our preferred dates. The communication between myself and the Denise was always timely, professional and helpful. The team arrived on time on our expected date, with all our our last minute packing supply requests. It is a stressful time to move and the team worked with us every step of the way. We were packing up a very large B&B with several exquisite antiques. They handled our items with extreme care and professionalism, meticulously packing each item. It was quite a joy to hear the team laughing when a piece was extremely heavy and awkward instead of the usual disgruntled groans from a normal crew. They were cheerful and cooperative during both the loading and unloading stages (a total of almost 12 hours) We were overjoyed when the invoice came in as we weren’t sure what to expect they were very good to us!! It was the best moving company I have ever dealt with. And I have moved a lot. I would not consider using any other company.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Their movers were quick and all goods arrived in one piece. I was pleasantly surprised that the actual bill was a lot less than the original estimate. Also, they came out to my previous address to assess which truck to use and took an actual inventory of my content. Overall a great experience and if I ever have to move again, I would certainly use them again. Thank you Shaun, Denise and crew!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had Sweenie moving in today to move my belongings to storage for 3 weeks. Jim brought the trailer into the drive and as soon as he stopped, the boys had trailer open and ready to go. I'm an ex mover, but looking at my stuff I didn't think it would all fit. 3 hrs later the boys closed up the doors with everything on board. If you are looking for a first class move, call Sweenie moving, I'm glad I did.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Ripped off! Doubled our quote from 6800 to 15000! We were told we HAD TO sign papers before we left. A new weight was applied after they had our stuff and signatures. Their own drivers said there was no way that there was that much weight in the truck.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Our move last winter was carried out in two stages necessitating storage at Sweenies for a month. The cost was about twice the estimators tally. At least two dozen items were delivered to our new location damaged or even demolished. Some pieces of furniture were missing. Although the movers stated the damages would be dealt with well, noting that we had purchased ample insurance, it was managed very poorly. For the most valuable pieces nothing was done at all. For the less valuable pieces, some mediocre repairs were undertaken only after we declined compensation based on a very nominal weight calculation.
Our large residential move was ultimately handled very poorly. A rating as high as two stars is selected based on a couple of workmen in each stage of the move being very good. Others were inept and management unsatisfactory.
