★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been here four times right now and it has been a gear experience everytime. they have great food really fast service very fresh ingredients and very prices for what you get they're spicy California roll is excellent. Noodle soup is also one of my favorites would definitely recommend this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ What was once one of the best places for sushi in East Van has become a sinking ship. Quality has been declining for years, and my last visit has been my last. Their sushi pizza used to be a highlight; the new version is dismal. Customer service was terrible; one couple left while we were waiting because their order was never put through and they didn't want to wait any longer. We asked for an extra egg on our dish, then were served half a dreary boiled egg but charged the full price. How sad! This used to be a great spot, but a change in ownership over the years and lack of proper management have really brought it down. We were sitting near the kitchen, and one staff member kept coming out and touching door knobs, mops, and buckets with their gloves and then handling food. When we got our dishes, the quality was disappointing. The chicken karaage, served with raw onion, tasted old and refried. The tuna tataki didn't look very fresh and the portion was small. To top it all off, no compensation or solutions were offered after speaking to a manager about our experience. Even though he was receptive to our feedback, there was no sense of ownership and ultimately no effort to offer something to make the situation right. RIP, Sushiyama! ?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'm a regular here and love their yam tempura roll or order a party tray for parties. Definitely recommend this place. Only thing is, when u order to go miso soups, it's usually cold. Other than that, sushi's great.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The once glorious sushi pizza is now a shadow of its former self. Less than half the size, with tiny, imperceptible slivers of fish replacing the generous sashimi. I can't speak to any of the other dishes, but this signature piece has taken a pathetic nosedive.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was my favourite sushi place in all Vancouver, (until they changed hands a couple years ago, I think), and it’s just not worth it anymore. Their sushi pizza used to be the most amazing dinner I’d ever had. Three times I tried it, after the signage changed, and was more disappointed each time. The portions were smaller, less well made, and general just not what it used to be, as well as a decent price hike. Sushi pizza went from $10 to $13, and is disappointing now.
