It's a beautiful building with nice staff, the day I had came in. The other reviews say different. But from my experience the service was great. The parking officers were genuine friendly and polite. The staff there were genuine smiles, good attitude about firing up my business. Tried to make me laugh when I was leaving. The type of service you want in every company. So Respect Canada. Surrey is becoming the city of peace, and with the highest virtues in the lower mainland with keeping our own people safe.

I have been trying to contact the city for over a week Nobody answers the main line, it defaults to a message giving information dated January 2020. Hello- does anybody work here?

Surrey City Hall new beautiful building is located in the heart of Surrey Center. More easy and conveniently located as compared to the previous City Hall. Helping reception and staff. Little bit problem of parking because its underground paid parking.

Quick visit to drop off paperwork. Entry is by appointment only due to pandemic. Complementary 2-hour parking for visitors and the lobby is very clean and spacious. Although currently closed, there is a Take 5 café inside right across from reception.

Charging so much property taxes in Bridgeview industrial area, absolutely NO snow plowing at all. So much for our tax dollars. Great going city of Surrey. My love grows for this city everyday. ?

What a money grab set up! It’s like living in a third world country! Bribes for everything! Staff is very rude and like they doing us a favour. Good luck dealing with them for any business permits unless you grease their hands. Pathetic

The worst city planning department ever, there is no accountability. I have applied for more than a year for a minor renovation in a mall, however the city's not issuing a permit. They are always full of excuses and a few times the city even lost our drawing. Every plan checker has their own idea, and doesn't follow any rules just because they can. (This is how bribery is getting popular). Several years ago I traveled overseas and the city of Surrey's planning department reminded me of how officials in that country are indirectly getting huge bribes for a simple permit The officials simply asked a distant family member or a third trusted party friend of an official in the planning department to open a phony restaurant and sell memberships to builders who are applying for permit starting from 50k US and up depending on the project. Surrey's city hall planning department is moving in that direction by simply delaying our project. What a shame. I will send this to counselors, Mayer and official hopefully someone with dignity will do the right thing. Note: Since I have applied for this surrey project, I have applied for more than 10 permits of the same type or more difficult then this Surrey project and all of them have already been completely finished and produced a lot of jobs and a lot of taxes. These were all in the greater Vancouver area, Alberta and Ontario, however this small project in surrey has still not gotten a permit. If they are not waiting for a bribe then what is it? It is a lose-lose situation for all.
